Finding a reliable and skilled contractor can be harder than locating a needle in a haystack. Needed old carpets in the whole house removed and oak floors and stairs sanded and refinished. I decided on Steve Leger based on his knowledge and accessibility. I almost didn't go with him because he didn't provide some answers I was seeking but was telling me to trust him that he knew what he was doing. I agree with above reviews , Steve knows his stuff. They did an awesome job for me and my wife in our modest home in Bergen county. Very detailed and he always thinks out of the box because he has a very creative way of thinking. Great job on the repairs and now we are proud to show off our beautifully stained floors . We had someone else prior who we fired when they misrepresented who would do the work and had sketchy people scaring my family and messing up our floors. Steve came in didn't charge us a penny over estimate and made the floors look beautiful. He is without a doubt the best and we have

My husband and I decided it was time to get rid of carpet in the dining room and refinish the hardwood floors underneath. I asked on a community based Facebook page for flooring recommendations. About five of the six responders said that Steve was the guy to use. I was impressed by Steve's work and professionalism. He came when he said he would. He cleaned up the workspace after every visit. The quality of his work is wonderful. My floors turned out so much better than I thought they would. I would not hesitate to use him for other flooring projects.

After a phone conversation with Steve where he spent a lot of time explaining the job, a reasonable price quote and the fact that a job he did for a friend 19 years ago still looks great (even with pets!), I decided right then and there that he had the job! I wasn’t exactly sure how the end result was going to turn out based on the floor’s age (65 years old) and the abuses of the previous home owner’s pets.
