Black Hound Design Company specializes in creative custom furniture, woodworking and metal fabrication. From New York to Los Angeles, Chicago to Atlanta, our custom furniture can be found in restaurants, hotels, resorts, breweries, retail and homes all across the country. We are a mix of talented woodworkers, metal fabricators, fine artists, draftsmen and project managers- all working together to create creative furniture and art.

Black Hound Design Company, a custom furniture design and build studio in Arvada, is looking for an experienced Metal worker to join our awesome team. We work with a variety of materials and processes. Install experience is strongly preferred. We work really hard, under tight deadlines. But, we also have great senses of humor, and live by: work hard, play hard.
With our extensive arts and sculpture backgrounds, we love creating art for your establishment. From art walls in a restaurant, or art for each guest room in a hotel, we will work with you to bring your vision to life. We love creative fabrication, metal work and mixed-media sculpture, and can help you to think outside the box for your commercial art.

Amazing craftsmen! These guys are genuinely passionate about their work and it shows. I ordered a custom dining room table and bench to fit a relatively small space, and the results were perfect. Each piece has so much character. James was patient with all my questions and took the time to explain all my options for the base and the various finishes that they offer. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

What an amazing craftsman! I ordered a custom coffee table from Black Hound Design Company and I am so thrilled with the final product. I worked with Black Hound Design Co. on a coffee table for my home. They were terrific to work with and I will definitely use them again for my next furniture piece. James visited my house to get a feel for the space and what I was looking for. After the initial consultation, he was able to provide me several renderings of which I could choose what I was interested in. I even changed my mind several times (and at the last minute) and they were able to adjust to my needs to deliver an end product that I am thrilled with.

I hired these guys to build a custom piece for me. I was so excited to have it delivered and set up in my home. That is until it was set up. This is the absolute worst piece of work I have ever seen. Damage top to bottom, left to right, inside outside. Nails coming through the “wood”, bleached spots from using mineral spirits to clean up their mess, uneven seams everywhere, large gaps, poor workmanship throughout! Unskilled workmanship! Did I mention the bubbling. As I sit here typing this, it is making very loud cracking noises as the seems and wood split. I asked them to remove this from

I came to Black Hound Design with hopes of recreating a copper kitchen table I had in the past, the team exceeded the functionality of what I could have imagined. It acts as a dining table as well as angles up degrees for use as a drawing table and exposing storage. The coffee table was inspired by a collaboration of references and again I am so thrilled how it came out. Both pieces completed my small New York apartment.
