Miller Edge
Bearge has served as President of Miller Edge since 1990 and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. Flossie has been with the family business since 1988 and holds a MBA from Arizona State University. Miller Edge is a privately held family business originally founded in 1936 by Norman K. Miller.

Originally known as "Miller Brothers", the company was formed in Philadelphia, PA. Following his honorable discharge from the US Army, Norman received a phone call from General Merrill Burnside requesting him to develop a safety product for use on hangar doors at Wright Patterson Air Base in Ohio. Norman developed the product and was issued the first patent for an "Electrically Activated Safety Edge for Hangar Doors" in 1957.

Since then the Miller Edge product line has grown to include both touch sensitive and non-contact sensing devices as well as related controls and accessories. Our products can be found on driveway gates, storefront grills, mass transit vehicles, and in automated manufacturing plants.
Services
The small profile of the MG110 sensing edge is specially designed to protect draw-in posts, pockets, and pivot points in gate installations. With touch sensitive signaling, the MG110 is designed to stop and/or reverse when contact is made. Miller Edge has taken the operation of the ME120 to a new level.
Miller Edge has developed a step-by-step worksheet for commercial door technicians to feel confident in ordering the correct sensing edge. Each step goes through style, length, and monitoring specifics to get you to your desired edge. The Quick Reference Guide is easy to print, and developed to keep on your trucks for filling out in the field.
We manufacture edges that mount directly to the bottom of the door or slide into many existing bottom retainers to make installation as simple as sliding out the weather seal & sliding in the edge. Mounting channels are also sold separately for doors with bottom retainers that do not readily accept our edges.
Specifying protection for motorized hangar doors is a critical element in the design of hangar buildings. The potential risk of damage or personal injury due to size of typical hangar doors and the value of airplanes, makes specifying Miller Edge a major consideration in designing safe aircraft hangars.
Miller Edge offers Sensing Edges for horizontal or vertical folding doors. Whether it's for an interior partition wall or an exterior opening, we provide solutions for you and your customer. Attached to the leading edge of Bi-Fold doors, our touch activated sensors will immediately send a signal to motor controls to stop and/or reverse door motion when an obstruction is detected.

Ordered some light curtains basically safety eyes from Miller EdGe apparently Miller EdGe never tested them on Lift Master's version five commercial units. You need a CPS boy to make them run and not to burn them out giving him direct power off the board. We did put a hole in the side of the plastic case but I don't believe that's what broke them I believe they got burnt out from the power. I also asked everybody who is the boss so that they can make a decision today and they wouldn't tell me a surprising.
