Proper and uniform training for persons who desire to become skille journeymen through an orderly method of improving the mechanical skill and techical knowledge of apprentices in the industry. For active and retired participants including their families, our site has a library of documents and faq's you need to manage your employee benefits.

Since 1893, The Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 112 has been serving the Southern Tier for over 125 years. We take our role in the community very seriously. We take great pride in our Apprentice Training Program. It is one of the most comprehensive training programs of it's kind anywhere in the country.

Our five-year program of classroom and on-the-job training covers all phases of plumbing, heating, welding, and air conditioning along guidelines set by the State of New York and the US Department of Labor. Our instructors conduct their classes in modern facilities on state-of-the-art equipment. Individual attention and guidance are given high priority.

UA Local 112 members have helped build every major building in our jurisdictional territory, from schools, colleges, and universities, to hospitals, manufacturing facilities and power houses to high rise hotels and entertainment facilities.
The UA Local 112 Benefits Office was created to manage the benefits for our members and their families. These benefits have long included a health plan, a Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Plan. If you are a perspective apprentice or journeymen and would like to learn more about the benefits that we provide to our members, please contact Dave Van Auken at the benefits office.
What is Organizing? The common term for a group of workers looking to join a union is "Organizing." Workers organize for various reasons, be it to improve their working conditions, increase their pay or benefits, and/or to create a better working environment.
For local and regional politics we will update you with current information. Through the International, you can visit their website to access effective grass-roots tools that will allow you to GET INVOLVED at both the national and local level. Up-to-date information on recent events is also made available on both websites for key legislative and political issues relevant to workers and the labor movement.
The deadline for the Davis - Bacon Wage Survey has been extended util 05/31/18. If you were supervision on a job during the times and places listed in the questionnaire located at the back of this months newsletter and in the members only section please complete and forward to the union hall for submission.
