Black-eyed Susan's home store and luxury interior design firm are inspired by founder Susan Taylor's passion for design and drawn from over 30 years of her design experience. Her effortless eye is admired for being in tune with all things style related. Susan's design firm is known for tailoring each project to suit the client's unique living style and creating modern interiors that are memorable and captivating.

Whether you book with us to meet in person, over a Zoom video call, or on the phone, expect to be inspired and pushed a little beyond your own ideas.
On a regular basis, we book everything from one room accessory calls to new construction full house designs. An interior design project can vary from an average of 5 months and up to 14 months. You drive the progress of the first phase of the design process. The faster you can finish the onboarding paperwork and schedule a project launch date, the closer you are to the final reveal!
There are four phases to the Black-eyed Susan interior design experience: design exploration, design concept, design development, and installation. We give you the details and time estimates for each phase, but remember, these vary from project to project. We're client-centric like that! I'm from out-of-state, but any time I'm in town Black-eyed Susan is at the top of my list of places to visit! Every time I go I find unique home accents and accessories that I don't see anywhere else. I confess, sometimes I even bring an empty suitcase to pack with my purchases on my return trip! I leave feeling creatively inspired and excited to try something new. The staff members are all so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, too. I can't wait to go back!

This interior design shop is unbelievably inspiring, as is its brilliant owner Susan Taylor. Her services include redesign, accessory calls, and custom floral -- but I discovered this gem when planning my vintage-inspired, travel-oriented wedding last August. Susan and her staff helped me realize my vision for the reception with terrific recommendations for the design accessories I needed to pull everything together -- my guests can't stop talking about it!
