DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They never told me in advance where my things would be stored and was misled into thinking Columbia Run Movers actually had a storage facility in Columbia. The movers who showed up were from a completely different company. As the other reviews said, they charged a ridiculous amount for packing materials, which I had available and had purchased myself, but they never gave me an opportunity to use my own. I had a few boxes that I still needed to close and they immediately started using their supplies to finish my packing without asking me when there were MANY boxes ready

Damaged my new refrigerator door. Not equipped w/ proper equipment to lift it. Turned it sideways(risk of messing up coolent distribution), busted a coat rack hook, and worst of all dented and scratched the water dispenser/ice maker door on my $1600 Samsung. The 3 men intimidated me, and I spoke to owner who kept saying I had to "TRUST HIM". They stayed at my house over an hour arguing with me and would not leave until I paid by credit card, the $395 I owed for the job. Owner assured me company's insurance would pay. . Then he wanted to just mail me the door without any arrangement for it to be

WATCH WHAT YOU GET YOURSELF INTO. They will rip you off crazy... They will give you a quote and then when the guys show up, they will chargw u for wrapping. They won't take mirrors, lamps, picture frames. The owner Isaac thinks he can talk to you in any tone he wants. He was yelling the entire time. I had to rent another truck to take my stuff. WORST SERVICE EVER

After living in the same building for more than 20 years, with flooding and other plumbing problems,and a huge book collection, preparing for a move to another apartment was a huge job. I packed for 3 days, but was still nowhere near ready when the people from Columbia Run Movers Co showed up. They finished the packing in about 2 hours, and moved me efficiently into my new home.
