I've used Obie several times to do an addition on my house with a kitchen, and patio areas, gazebos, and painting of my house. He's always been fair and upfront with his pricing. He doesn't ask for a lot of money upfront but waits until project is completed to specs.
Affordable Construction is the only company I call now to handle my projects around the house. Obie is busy because of the quality of work and fairness of pricing so it's a good idea to book him a few months in advance.

I have used Affordable Construction several times in the last few years. The first project was when my dad moved in with us and we needed to remodel and make our bathrooms handicapped accessible. We received a very fair estimate and the job began on time. This was an extensive project with workers in and out of our home daily for several weeks. The crew cleaned up every day before leaving. The employees were respectful of my home and were very trustworthy. The job was completed in a timely fashion with great results. All inspections were passed and completed up to code. I was referred to Affordable Construction, specifically Obie. I had urgent project that needed to be completed on my covered patio. Obie promptly met and provided us with a quote for the work. His perception or vibes that I was bothered by expenses to meet codes are hallucinations on his part.
No wonder UC Merced outsourcing $1B in construction contracts to San Francisco Bay area firms.
Ultimately I had a room divider installed and tenant is happy.

Do not use this company. The way the jobs are done are quick with semi/ no quality. His attention to detail is null. First of all, it was hard getting a hold of him when it came to doing the job in the beginning.
We asked for a bid on some projects to be done at our home. We were only given a partial bid and when we asked for the rest, he would just tell us to wait. So when it came time to the unbid part jobs and he finally gave us the price, the price was high.
We had such a hard time with Obie, the contractor. If we tell him we didn't like something, he would come up with an excuse, and
