Empire is a new kind of Solar Installation company. On June 8, 2021 I signed paperwork to start the process of getting solar panels on my home with Empire Solar Group. Part of the deal was I could get free insulation in my attic. I was told by the company I would get a rebate through my local energy company and then the sales person came back and said no due to the amount of time that had passed, when the delay was on the company's end, not mine. In September I received notification from another company, LGCY Power, advising Empire was going bankrupt and would not longer be in business. I was never informed by Empire so I thought it was a scam.

Went solar as it was “pitched” to be cheaper than electric. Was PITCHED NUMEROUS TIMEs that the grid access fee was waived or cancels out with solar generation but it is not. So now I’m paying for both panels and grid access fee. It is more than my bill has ever been for electric in my entire ownership of my property.
The amount of solar generation does not satisfy the amount used. So not only am I paying for panels and grid access but also for electric from the grid. So bill again grows by $20-35 month. $85 for panels, $35 grid access and $20-35 for electric…. My electric bill was never

Installation was performed by very competent crew with a high level of quality. The office side kept me up to date on scheduling initial installation and the post-installation inspections by regional building and Utilities. When I had a problem with the system reporting how much power was being generated they were able to send a technician to my house a day later who figured out the problem. Everyone I interacted with at my home was both knowledgeable and courteous.

They get zero stars! The panels were installed at the beginning of April, they failed inspections and no one can give a straight answer on when we will get another final inspection. We are paying for panels that are not in use while paying for electricity to the utility company. Not impressed with Empire Solar and DO NOT recommend!!!!!
3 weeks later and still no response from Empire Solar. If customer service answers the phone, they know nothing and have no updates. Jorge Orozco, the Colorado rep, has been useless. Scott Britt, the operations program manager, is even worse. He does not respond

The electrician showed up in the morning and let me know that the Panel crew would be there by 1pm. They arrived about 12:30 and began immediately. It was hot, but that didn't slow them down. They cleaned everything up and showed me pictures of the roof install. Great group, and Ben kept me informed all the way through!
