We have not received any type of customer service. We have been having issues with our panels for the past year and when we had a technician come out to service and find out the problem. We found out our panels are not operating probably and we have been waiting 4 months for and they are telling us it could take anywhere from 4-6 month. Frustrating.

Avoid a whole lot of grief and stay away from these guys. Terrible company, lousy customer communication. They didn't finish the job and will not return phone calls. They are confused most of the time. They don't know how to run a business and keep commitments. They misunderstand simple communication. Professionals on the other hand get to know their customers, meet scheduled commitments and are proud of their quality. STAY AWAY from these guys you will be happy you did. There are lots of other solar contractors around. Get lots of quotes and good luck with your installation.

We have our solar purchased and installed by HelioPower back in 2014. The system was activated since Jan 2015, and we have been saving tons of money on PG&E bills since day one.
Mind you, we have central AC on all day long to keep a constant temperature inside conformable for our little one.
We cannot be more happy with the system and the saving it gives. The whole process was smooth and a great experience to have. Consider a purchase of over $10K, I think we got our money worth.
Fast forward to today, one of the panel is showing ZERO output on the monitoring app, so we called and scheduled

Helio installed my system in 2016. I have had issues with this company before they went BANKRUPT last year. The monitoring system malfunctioned and my system did not produce power for many months. I NOTICED my Edison account balance was getting larger. I called them out to see what was wrong. The technicians that showed up saw the problem right away. One Helio tech said, "Monitoring system should have caught that a long time ago."

We had our system installed by HelioPower in November 2016. While the sales person did a great job in putting the contract together, there were definitely problems with the installation. They did work with us to get those ironed out to our satisfaction, and the system has been running without obvious problems since. That's the good news.
The bad news is the after care. HelioPower recently declared bankruptcy, so that may be part of the problem. In any event, we did recommend the company to some friends, knowing (and telling our friends) that we stood to receive a $500 'finders fee&apos

If I could give zero stars then I would. Do not trust anything this company tells you. They declared bankruptcy on April 26, 2017. Now that I've had my solar installed for roughly four years the ENTIRE system is dead. I called HelioPower, they are sending out a Technician because there are "multiple errors and failures on the inverter" -- and I'm paying for the warranty call. Good thing I spent tens of thousands of dollars to have a system that died after a few years. They KNOW that the problem is with the equipment and I'm still paying for the tech to come, what a joke!

Our sales rep Matt McPherson and his team at Helio Power were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They gave us a competitive bid with the latest technology for our large solar system and recommended we install the whole house fan as an added way to keep electricity costs down. Everything was installed quickly and with a lot of attention to detail. They were attentive, courteous and were on top of any issues that arose. We really felt informed and well taken care of throughout the entire process. Now we are enjoying the benefits of not paying a monthly electric bill and it's fanststic!

Had the best experience with Helio. We researched companies, and Helio was the most professional and courteous company out there. Matt explained all the options, giving us all the information and his response time to our multiple questions was impeccable. It took us some time to finally make our decision, and Matt was on top of it the entire time. Our home was difficult- custom - we were a little worried as to the results. But we're amazed with the results! They went above and beyond.

HelioPower installed our solar system over 10 years ago. We were early adopters, the first in our neighborhood. The system worked just fine and had tremendous output, providing an early ROI on the installation.
Last year we had a problem with our old SunnyBoy inverter. They came out quickly, contacted SunnyBoy and were able to reset the inverter. This summer, the inverter had a different problem, and they again came out and reset it, showing me how to do the rest as well. At no time did they pressure me to buy a new unit or upgrade anything else with the system.

I called this company to get a bid on going solar, I was ready to pull the trigger but trying to get some one to respond to my counter offer is a joke. I have got 2 calls letting me know that I would have a counter offer by close of business today 04/27/2016. Well I guess they just don't need my money. Let me say good sales pitch good speaking skills but follow up is just not there. Oh well I will follow up to let you know what I end up doing.

I'm super happy with our experience with Helio. They were very professional and thorough from explaining every detail in the installation process and how solar works to the installation itself. I was able to get a hold of someone fast every time I had a question.
My hat is off to the installation crew, though! They were just nice hardworking people who, regardless of the 105 degree heat those days, went the extra mile to do a superb job! They cleaned up immaculately and paid close attention as to not let my dog get out of the yard,( a very big deal to me). I was in awe at how the piping used

I enjoy using Yelp so much I figured I should write some reviews. We had a good experience with them. We got our system several years ago and it has produced about 10% more electricity than they said it would. Once, when I called with a question about the production, they answered all my questions and came out to be sure all was working correctly. The guy who came was really helpful and did a full check up and found that everything was ok.

Saw there add on Facebook. I called and Charles Curley came out and presented me with the options for my home. I had already met with two other solar companies and wasn't impressed. I like the fact that he uses him own experience to educate me about solar and energy conservation. He suggest we upgrade our panel to a 125 amp service and install a Quiet Cool whole house fan (not an attic fan). We decided to go with 200amp service upgrade since the cost isn't that much different and adds value to the home. Our solar system will be a 4.75 kw system with 19 panels. Justin did our roof
