When you sign up for a Rise Solar Energy Buyback plan, Chariot will credit you for 100% of the excess electricity your panels produce. Your household utility meter monitors how much electricity you used vs. how much electricity your solar system created. If your home produced excess solar energy (which often occurs on sunny days during daylight hours), then that electricity would go into the electric grid to power nearby homes and businesses.

You should be ashamed the way yall do business especially if you say you are willing to accept and work with TRR as your Facebook post indicates you do. So last week our power was disconnected and we had to pay 125 out of the 175 I had made cleaning a house to get it turned back on. We have been explaining we are waiting on TRR and unfortunately the customer service reps say that you can't wait any longer. So we paid... A WEEK LATER YOU CUT OUR POWER OFF AGAIN. We didn't get home till after 6pm when your office was closed so we had no power all night and had to get a hotel because we have two kids

Do not get the is energy company and if you do, do not opt into the Energy’s Budget Billing Program it is a scam. They placed me on fixed rate and then 8 months later sent me a bill for $500 in a pandemic. This company does not care about its customers they are scammers. When signing up for the plan they said they levelize my plan every 3 months but did not. I have also reported them to the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
It’s 6 months later and still dealing with sane thing. I wish I could this company 0 stars they are horrible.

They sent me a letter threatening to turn off my power, but I was on autopay. Turns out it was their mistake. Incompetent. They wanted me to renew for double the rate I was paying. No, don't blame the market... they had coupons on powertochoose dot org that were giving new customers much better deals. Don't waste your time with them, pick one of the other 50 options.

Very deceptive details on the website. I am being charged Oncor delivery charges on the gross rather than net. I love my solar panels but this company is trying to short change me. I made a huge mistake. Read all the fine print very closely. I didn't have any issue like this with Reliant.

I was a contract customer on auto draft payment. Never a late payment in the history of account, since it was set to autopay. My Cc expired and they disconnected power without much warning. There was an email that was junk filtered, but no phone calls. With power to choose your company, I would pick one that is a little more personable. And actually makes a phone call before shutting off electricity.

I never missed a payment for the full 12 months that I had in this contract. When it came time to renew the lowest rate that they could possibly offer me was 15.9 cents about 5 cents more than I was currently paying. They also enrolled me in month to month billing at a rate that was less than my contract rate, yet somehow my bill was about $100 more!
I called to ask if they had a lower rate, they could not offer me a lower rate and told me not to worry, it's not that much more. I asked why the month to month rate was still so much more expensive with a lower rate, they couldn't tell me. I asked

It took several calls to finally get the reason for why my bill increased over $100. I had to persistently inquire with customer service for an explanation. Where I was told I would have a fee to review my electrical reading too verify the issue. After several calls, I finally have a representative identify my significant rate changes. This company never disclosed changes of my rates and I am sickened to discover how much extra I've been paying these past months. I am now waiting to find alternative services with more transparent
rates.
This is horribly shady business practice that lacked integrity

I have had Chariot for a year or so. I am very pleased with their service and I have recommended several homeowners to this company. All of them changed over and are happy they did so.. I have never received any remuneration from Chariot, only professional service and great rates compared with other providers. I definitely am satisfied with Chariot..

This company is horrible! If I can give them a zero star I would. Once you renew your service they jack up your bill. I have been out of town for the past two months with no one in the house, normally we are a family of 5. I called to see why my bill was so high, the representative I got was rude and would not listen. Says the reading is right and accurate. Didn't even look at the history or my account. My bill has more than tripled in the months we are not here.. Why is my bill so much higher when no one is in the house and all lights are off and AC is set to 79? I asked for a manger, but he says

This company is a scam, They offered a budget billing and i signed up for it. It is a total fraud. In Feb. 2021, they sent me a bill of $1193. single month bill, After several efforts, they claimed it was spill over for the budget billing period (6 months). I will never recommend anyone to this company. They cut off my electricity and force me to pay that amount. Now that they remove the foolish budget billing, my current bill rose to $277. I will definately look for a better electric company.
