They were amazing! I would definitely use Shy Tree again. I originally had an appointment for several large trees to be trimmed and some big fallen branches to be removed in December but due to a family emergency, I had to do a last minute rescheduling. Shy Tree was able to get me another appointment only a few weeks out and were super understanding about it. All the team was respectful of property (they even made sure to close all my gates and lock them!), cleaned up the driveway after, and the trees look great! Thank you Shy Tree!!

Highly recommend Shy Tree. I had a dead tree in the middle of the deck in my backyard. They came up with multiple approaches to tackle the problem and prioritized my best interests. They were able to remove the tree in one day with no damage to anything, and cleaned everything up when they finished. They also gave me a reasonable price. A couple months ago, Alex performed a tree health appraisal on my property with the recommendation for selective pruning on 6 trees. Earlier today, Alex and his team came by to do this work and they did an excellent job. They were careful with my yard when driving their surprisingly small yet tall lift around my house to get to the taller trees, and only cut what needed to be removed to encourage healthy growth. I had two rather large dead trees taken down and one smaller one with Shy Tree today and I was extremely impressed with their promptness, prices, professionalism, knowledge of tree health, and tree removal. Quoted me 1400 dollars for tree pruning. I'm glad I shopped around Adirondack charged 400- and did a more thorough inspection--- I will not take down my review- you can talk to your sales person that gave me the quote initially. Does the quote in your hands say at least 1000 dollars? Because after I questioned him on the price, that's what he reduced it to.

Alex is knowledgeable, professional, and fair -- I plan to use Shy Tree for all of our future tree needs. His crew is a group of efficient professionals that we were happy to have working at our house. We had 3 ~60ft trees removed with stump grinding, 12 other 20-60ft trees trimmed/pruned, 2 trees dynamically cabled, and 6 new trees sourced and planted.

Cleanup was pretty rough. For "hauling away debris" I had to do a lot of cleanup, to include reattaching a downspout extension which I had previously screwed on. Somehow it got ripped off the downspout during the work. Lots of branches left in bushes, and even a bush that was damaged from something falling on it during pruning. Pruning was mostly ok.
Alex seemed really knowledgeable when he came to give the estimate and in talking to him after the work, but his crew seems a little careless/inexperienced. I'll call someone else next time.

Alex is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. His crew was timely, professional, courteous, and did great work pruning our 50' ginkgo, and were very careful with its proximity to our roof and our neighbor's roof. They cleaned up the area immaculately, and even laid down topsoil and grass seed where the bucket truck inevitably pitted our moist lawn. Really great work!

We recently bought a house, and it had a decent-sized tree stump in the backyard. Given that the yard isn't very big and we are planning to do some landscaping in the future, we decided to have the tree stump "removed" (ground down). Had a tree overgrowing my neighbors house and needed it cut down. Unfortunately, i was out of town and would not be back for a while. They were willing to work with me remotely and offered several different quotes depending on what I wanted done. Where happy to work with my neighbor as well to insure he was happy with their work. We had a branch fallen due to the ice and Alex came the same day to give us a quote. His price was reasonable and he accommodate us and took care of it the next day. They came on time and in approximately an hour finished the job and left everything clean. In the near future we have to remove the tree and we definitely want Alex and his team to take care of it.
