Lead Paint Renovation Report

Northwest Paintsmith is an EPA Certified Firm for Lead Paint Renovation. We have all of the training and equipment necessary to safely and legally perform work on homes and businesses where lead has been determined to be present in prior coatings. It is highly recommended that home and business owners use a trained and certified lead renovator to eliminate potential health risks and hazards associated with lead exposure.

I needed to have the exterior of my house painted and after getting several bids - all of which were fairly comparable to each other I chose Tim and his company. His bid was the most detailed and outlined all that would be done, with what each service was costing (power washing, prep work, paint, etc.) and the sales tax. He and his crew showed up at 7:30 am and by 5 pm my house was completely painted and everything was cleaned up. The attention to detail was impressive and I am sooo happy with the service I received and the end result. My house looks new, the final bill was just what I was quoted

Pulled a no-show. I met with Tim and signed a contract for them to stain the deck and paint some adjacent areas last summer (2017). He seemed knowledgeable, professional, and nice. They started the project with pressure-washing as scheduled, but then never returned to paint. They did not call and did not return my calls. It was too late to hire someone else before the weather changed. As other homeowners can imagine, this was a stress-fest and huge waste of my time and energy. No-show, breach of contract. I hired these guys to stain my deck last summer (2017) and paint some adjacent areas. Signed a contract, it was all set up. I was dealing with Tim. He seemed professional, competent, and nice, i.e., there were no communication issues or anything like that. This was not a misunderstanding. They sent an employee to pressure wash and were scheduled to come back to paint the following week. They never showed up. Never called. Never returned my calls. Truly horrible. Tim and Ryen are professional painters who are very conscientious about meeting their customers' needs, based on what my husband and I experienced. These guys did a great job painting the exterior of my parent's house in Poulsbo. The estimate seemed very reasonable and I felt like I could really trust the owner. They showed up right on time and knocked the work out a little early. They did an awesome job, great attention to detail. And they cleaned up everything, you couldn't tell they were even there. Over the years, I have hired lots of contractors when building my homes, remodels and other type of contract work only to find out, there are a lot of contractors with attitude, no show or very late show ups, no call backs (there is a new invention called a cell phone) and not so accurate bids.
