Natural Energy USA is one major Scam. Do Not use them...go somewhere else with verified customers that have dealt with a reputable company. This company is nothing but a disaster to deal with, no returned calls, no warranty repairs, no help with issues or information.
FOR the sake of your time, money, and sanity - go somewhere else.

We paid for solar panels back in 2018 and here we are with 2022 in a few days and we have not yet been connected with Edison! I have made numerous calls with no response or answer from the owner. There has been a very polite lady who has tried to help me her name is Lisa, other than her I have not been able to talk to anyone to get this matter resolved. I have even contacted the Better Business Bureau without resolution. I have requested a refund

I had them come out five years ago to install my solar panels.. I still have an electric bill every month, i shouldn’t have a bill at all I have 35 panels. I have been trying to reach them to come out and fix them and I can’t get anyone to return my calls..I feel like I have been robbed for my money..this whole thing is a nightmare. Go somewhere else and get solar panels installed unless you want to get robbed.

My father hired Natural Energy to install a 60 panel solar system. The install was fine and everything worked well....for a few years. Then my father passed away and he was the only one with access to the online system to see how much energy we are generating.
Upon asking them to let us know the application or website to go to, the owner Ted told us that he has no idea and that we would need to pay for a technician to come out and reinstall the monitoring system. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.

We needed solar electric for our new home. Natural Energy USA was great from start to finish. The design was rather complex due to our roof angles but Natural Energy USA was able to fit the amount of panels we needed. The installation was clean and professional. Cost was very competitive. Follow up was very good and we are very happy with the amazing savings on our utility bill.

Product was good, but service was terrible. They left us hanging in the end with out new electrical panel in the wrong place meaning the city never signed off on the project permit and SDGE never approved our use of the solar and we were not set up for net metering....

Absolute disgrace of a business. They left me for months without a working system claiming that it was a defective inverter. After months of waiting and getting nowhere and their techs coming out to test it, I managed to get it online myself and had it fixed within a few hours.
Apart from being irresponsible with their customers, they are also incompetent apparently. A bunch of empty promises here. Now I'm all on my own that I know their customer service means nothing.

Just wanted to add to the many experiences listed for this business. Mine is no different. Bought a pool solar system maybe 10years ago or so for our home in Yorba Linda. Recently a leak appears to have developed. Can't tell exactly what part of system because roof is very high, something only the solar crew can access. Started attempts to get a service call back in September. Many calls and messages back and forth with staff. I have a log for most of them. Sometimes got the "COVID has impacted how quickly our crew can get out" excuse, but that was only valid for so long.

Just AWFUL when it comes to repairs under warranty. The initial install and even their repair guys seemed fine. But I have spent 9 months waiting for them to complete a repair and you just can't get anything scheduled. I'd be happy with a "we're swamped with backlog due to COVID" but you don't get anything.

Do not use this solar company. They are awful, no one answers the phone, no one gets back to you. They use subcontractors that can't even get a hold of natural energy to set anything up. We were sold on using them for solar based on the sales person that we had who is no longer there and the fact that they would be monitoring our system through the online program. Well we just found out that our solar hasn't been working for five months of this year. And we now have a $3300 bill from SDGE right at Christmas time! I have the owner Ted's phone number whom I cannot get on the phone

I reached out to natural energy this morning and left a message. They called back with a few hours and had technicians onsite shortly there after. They fixed the three small leaks on our pool solar and were done in less than an hour. I came on to leave a great review and was sad to see all the negative ones.

I had Natural Energy USA install our home solar system in September 2014. At that time they told us that the solar system had many years of warranties and that they would monitor and fix any future issues. Well fast forward to today...found out they have not been monitoring because a micro diverter has been malfunctioning for 4 years! I have called them numerous times and even emailed the owner for over 2 months about this. No response at all. So unprofessional! Do not do business with this company as they have NO customer service for future issues!!!

Wow, same issue as everyone! Been calling since April because of leaks in our solar pool heater. It is now August and after MANY calls and messages never received a call back!
After spending over $40K on both solar panels and solar pool heater, with promises of extended warranties, very disappointing! Think all the unhappy customers need to get together.

I have left a half a dozen messages, none of them being returned. I see other people having the same problem with natural energy saying that they attempted to call or come out. I guarantee you they have never called or come out and it forced me to use another solar pool vendor. We liked the product initially, but can't recommend them at all.

I had 5 solar collector panels installed on my 2 story home in Chula Vista in 2005 for $3,300 my representative was Ernie Bausalis. I never inspected the work they done because it is dangerous to climb on a roof without proper saftey equipment and I trusted their expertise. So due to excessive leaks over the years I went on my roof to inspect my leaking solar panels. The company improperly installed a panel over a protruding vertical roof pipe. Directly over the pipe down the middle of the panel. For years my roof leaked due to their negligent improper install of the panel. I called the company

We have Advantage Gold solar pool system installed by the previous owners of our home. Included was a 15 year transferable warranty. A few years ago we developed a couple small leaks in the panels. I called to schedule a repair. Told the woman I had a warranty. She really gave me the run around saying there was no such warranty. I had to fax her a copy before the appointment was scheduled.
The panels were finally repaired. I recently developed 2 new leaks in my panels. One fairly substantial precluding the use of the solar system. Almost 3 weeks ago I spoke with a woman at their 800 number

We were told we would get a $10,000 refund and it turns out it's just a state credit which 2 years later is still sitting there. We had roof leaks all over which they came out to fix but the next season (now) same ones sprung up again so they didn't do a good job installing nor fixing the install leaks.
They were supposed to come out and fix 3-4 months ago - no show. Now we've been calling and calling - no return phone calls.
Will probably have to file an insurance claim and take them to court over this I guess. No other apparent solution.

Natural Energy installed our pool solar heating system in 2008 and we have been happy with it ever since! Our technician is amazing whenever we need help with anything and we even recommended him to our neighbors when their solar company went out of business a few years ago, and now they are using him and Natural Energy as well. Great product and service, couldn’t be happier!

We’ve had a solar electric system from Natural Energy for many years now and are very happy with its performance and the company overall. They have installed the system twice for us as a few years ago we decided to replace the roof and they were very professional both times and installation went without a hitch. Highly recommend them!

I am giving a low mark for the Service manager's lack of support. I am very happy for installation of Solar Panels for my pool, and later electric panels. Also, a service call few years back, even though I got it done thanks to the owner's attention.
However, the owner's (Ted's) cell # and email I have is not working. Their office got back to me, but the service manager has not contacted me yet. This had been almost 2 weeks.

Update to my previous post- Things are all taken care of, Ted sent Keith out and we talked over the situation, they replaced all of our panels.
Seems we may have had some faulty product as well the strapping had worn through a few spots with the wind and etc.. We were about 1/2 way through our warranty period on the panels and I was tired of Band aids and repairing them so we came to a more than fair mutual agreement to replace all of our panels at a cost but none the less it was a good experience all said and done, Not many business owners would be as forth coming and do the right thing as

Immediately after the review was posted we were contacted by the owner and a meeting was set up. The owner came to our home and was upset mainly about my review. He even threatened to sue if it was not taken down. My parents out of concern stated they would get me to take it down but I refused. I won't be bullied.
They said they would return to review the system.
11/9/18 They came to the home to review the system and further explained what may be going on. I observed that the technician was respectful when assisting and explaining.
Overall, the company does eventually come to assist

Installation was really easy. I agreed to the rate and arranged a day for a team to come over and install the 12 panels to heat our pool. I thought it was great until two months in 1 of them began to leak. I called in and they promised to have someone out that week. The field technicians called me the next day to confirm a time for that day and came out and fixed it. I can only speak for myself but they came out a DAY after I called, which is incredible. I am extremely pleased with the service and haven't had any more issues!

I wanted solar panels for the past few years now. I kept putting it off because of the cost but my husband found Solar Wholesale, who we could finally afford. I spoke with a representative who broke down the costs to expect and explained the basic installation process. A man came by our home a few days later to inspect our roof and determine whether we were eligible. After we were approved the installation only took a day with an on-site team. Affordable, high quality, and great for my electric bills. Easily a five star service!
