We provide flexibility that fits your schedule and specific packing, loading, unloading, and driving needs. Moving is an ideal time to de-clutter and eliminate the excess. Gather things you no longer need, want, or use for recycling, disposal, donation, or moving yard sale. Get organized before you pack to streamline your move, make unpacking a breeze, and save money. Start organizing the contents of each room so items that belong together are easier to pack together.
Pack a bag - For each member of the family moving, pack a suitcase as if you're all going on a 3-day vacation. One at a time - Wherever possible, work on packing just one room at a time (instead of several all at once) to keep things focused and organized. Off the floor - Instead of the floor, use a completely cleared-off table top or counter in each room for packing boxes.
Talk to you child about what the move will be like and what they might experience. Change can seem scary to people of all ages, but change is the only thing in life that is constant. This is a good opportunity for growth, learning and acceptance of it. If appropriate, let the children pick their room and/or a decoration (poster, light switch, name banner, etc.) for their new room.
It's never too early to schedule your moving reservation. We fill up very quickly, especially between April and October, which is prime moving season. We recommend giving us a call at least 3-6 weeks in advance, although we may be able to accommodate on much shorter notice. Complete safety and protection of your home and belongings is our intention.

To be honest, I was initially going to go with one of the bigger, multi-region movers that had lots more Yelp reviews, but I am so glad I took a chance and was able to support this wonderful local business instead. I can’t put into words how awesome this moving company is. I was doing a stressful move from another state, with plans to start my new job the next day after I moved in. These guys moved my things in no time and with great care. They set up all items and offered to place each box or item, where I needed it. I plan on living in the area for some time, possibly doing another move in a year or building. These guys are now my favorite in the ares and I recommend them to anyone. Zane organized our move from Lawrence, KS to Illinois. To start with, he was one of the only movers in town to answer our phone calls, so he was already doing better than everyone else. We got quotes from some of the larger, national moving companies that were almost double what our move with Forrestor ended up being. After an endless cross-country move just a year ago with a company that did not offer an arrival estimate without us pestering them, we wanted a company that would load our things and drive them to our destination that same night to unload the next day. We contracted with Forrester moving company for a local move. I spoke with Zane the owner a few times before the move to clarify the details of the move.
The day of the move three men were supposed to show up. The driver called en route to my house and stated that one of the movers had called in sick. Since we are paying hourly, this is significant as two men can't do the work of three.
The movers showed up in a U-Haul truck. When truck was full we still had many items left to transport. Such as snow blower and items that won't fit in our vehicles. We had to take time to take some things

I am so glad I chose Forrestor to move my 94 year old mother and all her keepsakes. I could not have made-up a better moving experience. They were fast, friendly, efficient, and very careful. The entire experience was great. I have moved a lot but this was the first time I have used movers and couldn't recommend Forrestor Moving more. They were able to schedule me on short notice, showed up right on time, and made sure all of my stuff was properly packed and protected in the truck. These guys are Tetris masters! They maximized the space in the truck while making sure everything will arrive safely. I would definitely use them again!

I had a mover cancel on me the day of my move, I was not happy to say the least. I found Forrestor through Yelp and they were able to come with a full crew the next day!
My wife and I were so relieved we got a moving group but we happen to have an excellent group like Forrestor Moving!

From the first email all the way to today's move we were extremely impressed with Zane and his movers. Zane responded quickly to each email before the move. His professionalism impressed our daughter when they met so he could give her the bid.
Tyler and his co-worker (who's name we forgot to get) were also impressive. They loaded the truck in Kansas City. Drove it to St. Louis and unpacked it to our daughters third floor apartment. Everything arrived in great shape. It was a hot and humid afternoon. They were sweating buckets, but came across like they were enjoying the job.

They were fantastic! I've moved a lot and was never as pleased w the other companies as I am with Forrestor. Tyler and Salar moved us. We had way more stuff than we realized & it was a TON of work. Tyler & Salar have great attitudes, were polite and made no issue that we had more things than anticipated. My boyfriend and I were both so happy and appreciative of their fantastic work! They took absolute care of our belongings. If we ever need to hire a moving company, we will go with Forrestor again hands down! Pick them!

These guys were amazing. I see why they get such high reviews. Our movers (Jason, David and Oscar) were professional, efficient and fun. They did their job extremely well and never seemed to get tired. I highly recommend this moving company. We have used two other moving companies in the past and Forrestor's is hands down the best!! If you need movers these are your guys.

Forrestor Moving is a great company to use! We moved about 1.6 miles from old house to new house and it was a very easy transition. The four guys were right on time, hard, fast workers and very friendly and a lot of fun. NO issues at all whatsoever! It took two trips (we had a lot of stuff) and stopped at our storage unit to pick up the rest of the furniture. They take the stress away by how organized and professional they are. My husband and I were very pleased with everything. I highly recommend these folks. The reason I used this company was because of the other excellent reviews they received

We were moving from Leavenworth to North Carolina. I called many companies and was either told that they didn't do long distance moves or gave me an outrageous quote. I called Forrestor Moving and talked directly to Zane. An hour later, we had chatted about all of our previous moves (6 in the past 15 years) and I already felt confident about booking with this company.

Forrestor and his team were great before, during, and after our move as they were helpful, competitively priced, quick, professional, and very polite. We couldn't have been happier with the moving service as moving alone is never a pleasant experience so they made it so much easier and less stressful! They walked to apartment with us to really get the specifics of the move and they were great about breaking down furniture. They also strategically moved our items into a storage unit for an easy move out of the unit. We hope to use them again in the future!

Apparently there are two small moving companies combining (Forrestor and Wisdom Moving) which can create some initial confusion. They are very responsive, and came out for an in house estimate very quickly. Their pricing is comparable to long-distance van lines but with shorter delivery window for my long distance move to NJ.
Jeremy and BJ were great as far as loading and unloading my stuff. They were considerate of fragile boxes and made the whole experience much less stressful. I did have some communication issues with them in the few weeks leading

Absolutely the best movers I have ever used!! Zane was very helpful in scheduling and answering all of my questions. He was never short or acted annoyed with me even though I probably called him about 5 different times to ask him questions.
Mike and Cory showed up ready to start right away. They moved our 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor in 2 hours. Great guys! Super professional, courteous and efficient! They new exactly how to pack the truck to utilize the space perfectly! Would definitely recommend to anyone moving!

As a recording artist with a full studio at home, with a live room as well, I was very picky about who moved us from our home in Wheaton to Burr Ridge....Zane and his crew came through with flying colors...all the gear made it safe and sound as well as over a 53' truck worth of furniture and furnishings...packed us in one day, moved us the next...done...and for a competitive price....USE THEM.....USE FORRESTER!!!!

I work in property management and have to move A LOT! I was moving from the Twin Cities to Arlington Heights. I hired movers in MN to load my truck, drove to IL and then had Forrester Moving scheduled to unload. After having a horrendous experience with another company in MN, I was very apprehensive.
