Pruning is the most common tree maintenance procedure. Although forest trees grow quite well with only nature's pruning, landscape trees require a higher level of care to maintain.

Services
Traverso Tree Service, Inc is owned and operated by John Traverso, who founded Traverso Landscaping in 1980. Prior to this time, John was a nurseryman for six years at Orchard Nursery in Lafayette. To supplement his winter income, John diversified and started doing tree work along with his landscaping.
They beautify our surroundings, purify our air, act as sound barriers, manufacture precious oxygen, and help us save energy through their cooling shade in summer and wind reduction in winter. Disease or pest infestation: Some pests and disease can be abated, but there are times when the infection is too widely spread to salvage the tree or its health has been significantly compromised with no hope of recovery.
Our largest stump grinder is used primarily for front yard stumps or wider access areas. We have smaller stump grinders that can fit through a typical back yard gate. We also have a hand held stump grinder that can get to those tough access stumps located in tight areas. Our estimator can determine which machine is appropriate for your job.
We're very familiar with all of the local cities and county ordinances for tree protection. We can provide tree preservation reports, which are often required to process building permits or to get permits for tree encroachment or removal. If you're in the planning stage or already have site plans, we can visit the site and give you a free estimate for the cost of the report.
This program has been especially helpful for those clients with trees that should be pruned during the winter months (November-February) such as pines, birches and fruit trees. There is no obligation to prune your trees when we email, just a simple reminder during that typically busy time of the year.

This is our second time using Traverso Tree Service over the last few years to trim up our Date palm tree. We are pretty particular as we like a smooth evenly trimmed trunk with a nice pineapple and a 3/9 o'clock profile. Happy to share that there crew did an excellent job today. Super please with the crew, service, and office staff. Would recommend them to family/friends.

Their pricing was in alignment with the others who came to bid on the job. The crew showed up on time, were polite and professional. Cut everything just like we wanted and left our yards spotless. Higher priced than just a regular tree trimmer, but I wanted it done right. I had to wait a while for a booking because they're so busy. Three guys came out and I was introduced to the foreman (like that right there blew me away). They had a boom lift and trimmed it from the top and the bottom. My yard was totally clean when they were finished and I couldn't be happier.

I was happy with every aspect of their service. Rafael did the initial bid for me and then led the team that came. The were just a bunch of nice guys and did an excellent, thoughtful job. I had a bunch of damage done years ago but one of those Tonganese guys who go around the neighborhood and they destroyed some of my trees. Every bit of Traverso is professional so I'll never make that mistake again!

Traverso Tree Service helped us with clean-up, trimming and removal of many trees on our large, rather overgrown property. John Traverso bid the job and provided explanations for his recommendations that left us confident that we were in good hands. He also took on the difficult task of convincing our neighbor, who was upset by the acorns and leaves on his driveway, that our coastal oaks did not need to be cut back to the property line. I called W.C. City hall and spoke with an arborists who suggested 2 companies of which this was one. Professional, on time, fair price and from the main office to the workers that serviced they were exceptional. They accidentally broke a large upright sprinkler and informed me right away and would have their handy person out right away to fix it. The fix was within 2 days. Now, I never would have known it was broken until spring when they would be turned back on. Plus, I wouldn't have connected them to the break. So.....look,how honest they are. It's hard to find a reliable and reasonably priced tree service company. I went through many different companies for quotes. Some were very efficient in responding and some were booked far in advance. In terms of pricing, I had a variety of pricing. John and his team have been taking care of our seven liquid amber trees for years now. Unfortunately, we had to remove one a year or so ago because of its horribly invasive roots. And, just this month we had to remove a second because its roots destroyed our swimming pool (very quietly and without warning). I had taken some trees out a few years back before getting permission from the county and had to put in 17 trees to make up for it. So after the trees had a couple of years to establish I needed to have a certified arborist sign off on the tree health.

Fantastic, professional service. Raphael (certified arborist) gave us an estimate that involved removing much less of our trees than "some other guy" resulting in preserving them perfectly! Can you imagine working threat of being shot with a 357 weapon by some neighbor while working next door? Traverso Tree Service crew did...I am more than satisfied with the work done on my trees by TTS. Your crew was professional. Praise to your foreman and the men on the job for their diligence.
