Stephenson Architects is a remarkable firm with the unique ability to update and improve period architecture without sacrificing the unique identity and spirit of the structure. Our 1920's Spanish-style home was in need of major overhaul and significant structural repair, and Linda Stephenson and her staff provided the inspiration and creative problem-solving to make our restoration a total success. Linda Stevenson and her team designed our new home in Holmes Beach, Florida. We had two conceptual designs by another architect done previously, but neither had all the features we wanted, and each had some features we didn't want. As long-time residents of the South, and specifically Anna Maria Island, which is located in both a flood and windstorm zone, we believed our home should be of highest-level construction, feature the latest technology, be a place of comfort and refuge, engage passive solar elements to reduce our operating costs, and allow a lifestyle based on sun and water, air and shade
