I recently had an issue with my SunPower Solar monitoring. I was frustrated with the response I had received from SunPower. I called Stefan at Freedom Solar for help. Stefan listened to my complaints, gave me his recommendations, followed through with assisting me to remedy the problem. Stefan thinks outside the box, which can be very useful. Throughout the process, I felt comfortable that Stefan was available to assist me. He is very helpful with Solar installation and issues. While I am disappointed with SunPower's lack of concern and assistance with the issue, I am extremely satisfied

Rich and his team at Freedom Solar did a great job on our solar panel project from the initial design, installation and follow up. He explained everything about the system, installation trade-offs, and future expansion capability versus other systems. My very first EV outlet install and it was an outstanding experience! From my initial conversation with Rich to project completion I could not have asked for a better partner. Like most folks, I did extensive research speaking with several different service providers and after several different quotes, decided on Freedom Solar. Even though Rich's schedule was filled up for a couple of months, he was able to squeeze me in and in addition to his team showing up early they were also done with the install within less than a couple of hours and then another 5 minutes or so to make sure everything

Picking a solar company is a challenging task. Having a metal "Cal-Pac" style roof added to it. Walking on them wrong can create dents, and it being raised above the asphalt roof by inches required unique mounting bracketry. I envisioned big holes with a lot of silicon piled around them, and unattractive. I queried many companies but most didn't do metal roofs. I finally contacted Cal-Pac Roofing for their recommendations and they gave me two. One couldn't respond for weeks. I recently had my roof replaced that older, but still functional, solar panels installed (54 of them!). I thought I'd take the opportunity to install some additional panels and decided on Freedom Solar.
I couldn't be happier. Clayton was great to work with regarding the quoting process and very responsive to questions and/or requested changes that I had. Once we got into contract, Michael jumped in and started working with my roofing contractor to coordinate the timing of the removal of my old system. This was done with minimal effort on my part and the panels were stored neatly away

Horrible company. They don't stand by what the guarantee. My roof is supposed to be guaranteed for 10 years against any damage caused by the panels and conveniently they say it's not caused by the panels but yet my roof was fine before the panels went up. Do not let this company come close to your roof

Overall excellent experience with Freedom Solar, but there was a hiccup with a faulty SunPower PVS5 monitor where we couldn't track how much our system was producing for 1-1/2 months. This required 2-3 more visits by the Freedom Solar staff, but system has been working very well.
Contacted Freedom Solar in late DEC 2017, but couldn't get an estimate until JAN 2018 because of the holidays, signed contract and installation completed in early FEB 2018, then system was inspected by City

Best products and service ever! Rich Moore, there is a saint with his patience in answering my many questions. They installed a SunPower system in my home in Los Altos a few years ago and I have been super happy. I love they do the monitoring and even let me know when the connection is not working and I need to reboot the modem. Rich has very strong integrity and is true to his word in delivering. I have not had any issues and it seems he sized the system perfectly for me, even anticipating increased demands as I added A/C and electric car charger.

The installation went without problems. The salesperson and the installers were professional and courteous. I had done a price comparison with other solar companies and found that Freedom Solar's system was appropriately priced. (we went with the micro inverters which not all other companies offer).
The system came with a monitoring system which allows to monitor daily production. The system is also linked to the company's system, so if there should be a problem with any of the panels, they will realize it and act on it

Having decided to install a central AC system, we figured it was a good time to convert to solar to offset the increased electrical demand. We contacted Rich at Freedom Solar and explained what we expected our current and future needs to be.
Rich was clearly knowledgeable about his subject and the options available. He designed a 10Kw system for us and also implemented a full electrical panel upgrade to handle the new equipment. His team took care of all PG&E interaction for the panel and worked with our other installer to coordinate specifications and installation for the new AC gear.

Freedom Solar gave me two choices, either a "best-bang-for-the-buck" SunEdison system at a great price or a "best-of-the-best" SunPower system for maximum electricity. I decided to invest for the long term choosing SunPower and micro inverters to monitor every panel. They took care of everything. Rich is very friendly carefully explaining everything up front. Install team was fast and clean. Dale took care of the PG&E hassles and the online monitoring. Happiness is never having to worry about a massive PG&E bill again.

We had Freedom solar upgrade an existing 10 year old 5KW system with a new Sunpower 8KW system. Our main goals were to increase production and cleanup the mess of equipment on the back wall of our house. We decided to replace our old system completely and install all new panels, racking and inverters. Freedom solar designed our new system so that we can add on 8 more panels and go all the way to 10.5KW. We oversized the inverter and prewired for the additional string of panels so that we can upgrade easily in the future just by adding more panels.
