Cinnamon Energy Systems helped us get monitoring of our existing solar system after our original installer went out of business. Paula Doan, the Project Manager was experienced with the requirements and process. She scheduled a system check for the following week. Jonathan Munoz, the Field Superintendent was knowledgeable, professional and conscientious. He had us up and running in less than two hours. A wonderful solar experience... Cinnamon Energy Systems, of Campbell/Los Gatos, is the best! Cinnamon is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with, in any trade. I have been thinking about installing solar for some time and now glad I did. On a scale of one-to-ten (ten- the highest), I would rate Cinnamon an ELEVEN. Lots of positives:

Had a 9kw system (25x LG360, 25x SE OPTIMIZER, 1x SE10000H) recently installed at my house. This was to replace an older system which was installed back in Dec2007.
Glad I found Cinnamon Energy to assist me selecting a new system that meets my energy needs. The most important criteria in selecting a solar installer for me was to find a vendor who is local, accessible and been around for at least ten years. Although solar system is mostly a plug and forget type of thing I value the fact that I am able to call for assistance when need arises.

Cinnamon was very professional and knowledgeable from day one. Chris came out and took aerial photos of our roof to give us a detailed estimate and help design our system.
Paula in the office was super responsive and made things flow smoothly. Install was scheduled for two days and they finished in one.
A little over a week later and the system has been approved by the building inspector and PG&E. Big thumbs up!

As per follow up by Barry Cinnamon, I was able to change Battery Discharge floor. This makes a significant difference in use of the batteries to reduce the amount of the input energy from PG&E. However, when our heat pump is set at comfort level, there is still some import needed(around 25 KWh per day). Although the minimum is set at 15%, I am worried about the battery life and will continue setting it at around 30%. I am not sure why it was set by default at around 66%. It seems that the panels are producing enough energy even in winter to export more energy to the network than the input from

Cinnamon Energy Systems did both great work and had exceptional customer service. Even before we decided to get a solar system, we had been getting calls from other solar providers for years. So when we first started getting bids from companies, we started with some of those. We found that most solar providers are doing more high pressure sales and trying to convince you to sign up for payment plans, leases, and upselling you on batteries and other add ons that get them higher commissions. We finally decided it was time to do solar. We evaluated 5 or 6 companies and chose Cinnamon because of the professionalism of the team - particularly Roger. And their price was quite competitive. The installation was done on time and on schedule and we are very pleased with the design, installation and operation. Alejandro, who installed the inverters and connections was quite helpful also. I have had my solar installation since 2002 and decided that i wanted to do some upgrades. My plan was to simply replace all of the panels on one string. This is only about a third of the number of panels i have. There was nothing wrong with the old ones, they were just old and only generating abut 50% of their peak output
I had the pleasure of meeting John B. he came to my site to see what they could do. Having given it a good look over and reviewing my data, he agreed that replacing that string of panels made sense.
He quickly got back with a proposal. Looked good and was the most cost effective

I had a roof leak during the latest rain in late Spring. I had a roofer out and they said the leak seems to be coming from under my solar panels. I had to quickly find someone to remove the panels so tiles could be repaired. Barry responded quickly to my ND posting. He was able to get me a price estimate by looking at my roof from Google Maps. The same weekend he stopped by to confirm. His guys were quick to come out and removed the panels in a few hours. After scheduling for the roofer to come out, his guys met the roofer. Once the roof repairs were done, they were able to put back the panels

Cinnamon is as good as it get when working with a contractor. All documentation is clear and they deliver what is agreed upon. The work and crew is excellent. I am picky and they were cool about it. The system only took a day and half to install and they handled the permits and paperwork with PG&E, super easy. Very happy.

I first started this journey to install a ground mount solar system in March 2018. After interviewing several solar company, we selected Cinnamon Energy. Scott and Barry was very energetic and knowledge of ground mount system. Our system in now installed and pge just gave us the ok to operate the system. Five stars for this team. I would definitely refer this company to my friends and family.

Barry Cinnamon has been extremely helpful root causing the issues, including a data driven analysis of what the panels are producing compared to what PG&E shows we're using and giving back to their grid. I think Barry and his team have done a good job of proving their system is working, including giving advise on how best to get optimum performance and some things I can do to isolate the issues (yearly cleaning of panels, etc). I still have a couple things to sort out, but it's clear the system is working and if there's any issue it's with PG&E and/or increased power

For starters, the owner, Barry Cinnamon, gives a weekend seminar (weekly? monthly?) at their warehouse which is a great way to learn about the industry, the trends, and the considerations for installing solar.
Barry is not just the guy offering those informative weekend lectures. He also answered our questions by email and phone, and he visited our home twice to help make design decisions as we planned for our solar installation.
Our house is just old enough that special considerations were needed for hooking up the power to the PG&E grid

We had cinnamon install solar on our house in Los Gatos and they did a great job.
I spoke with 3 other firms and cinnamon was not only competitive on price they where the only ones who came to the house and discussed our plans and provided advice.
Install happen on time, they handled all the paperwork with PG&E and got us running very quickly.

Cinnamon Solar was AWESOME!!! They gave us very fair and competitive pricing and they were so smart about everything while dealing with them. They answered every solar panel question we had and then some. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. And they follow through - when the interconnect with PG&E got hung up in processing properly they stuck with it until it was done. They even offered to pay for the PG&E bill for the few weeks delay. Who does that?!!! They focus only in Silicon Valley and they have been in the industry since the early 2000's. I can't give them any higher

We had Cinnamon Solar install our system about a month ago and are now having a blast seeing how much energy we are producing on a daily basis. Cinnamon Solar just completed an installation for my home. This review is about the install experience. Quality of product will need longer time of usage before a reasonable review can be given.
I have a south facing roof with no trees that can cause shading of the solar panels. So the roof location is perfect for installation.
