MACKIE REAUX CONSTRUCTION, INC. was founded in 1984 by Malcom "Mackie" Reaux of Broussard, Louisiana. As a draftsman with experience in project management, Mackie knew he could help entrepreneurs grow their businesses by building equitable employee working spaces. Mackie oversaw all phases of building projects for his clients, from the initial design phase all the way through to the final move-in-ready phase.
Meanwhile, his son, Ryan, was following his every move; from job site cleanup, tying rebar, lining up subs, to meeting with inspectors. Ryan was Mackie's shadow. As Ryan became an adult, he, too, completed schooling in drafting and began integrating technology into the daily routines of Mackie Reaux Construction (MRC).
Before you knew it, hand-drawings were in AutoCAD, office functions were computerized, and cell phones with internet capabilities were on jobsites; all aiding in the growth and efficiency of MRC. In 2003, Ryan Reaux purchased his father's company, allowing Mackie to retire and enjoy time with his family.
