I'm surprised at the negative reviews because I had a great experience with Sid fixing the wiring on my old cooktop and getting my dishwasher running again. My wall oven is too old to find a part anymore, but that's not for lack of trying on his part. He was honest and the repair charge was fair. Would definitely call again if anything goes haywire again.

Our Samsung Refrigerator, was freezing everything, and the temperature indicator was saying it was 40 degrees, We really thought we were in for a new fridge, or at the very least a very costly repair. My partner Bryan called Wright Appliance Repair, and Sid came out same day. Sid very quickly diagnosed the issue, explained and fixed the problem, at a very reasonable price. He was very honest, and knowledgeable, even explaining some other fixes we could do ourselves. It's very refreshing to find a reliable trustworthy repair person.

Called them to repair a washing machine. Came out, told me what issue was, said they would check on part availability and call me back. Never heard from them again. I explained that the machine couldn't function as is and that it was desperately needed. I have called and left messages numerous times and they won't call me back. I bought a new washing machine and donated the one they were to repair, which was only four years old. If only people would do what they said they were going to. Totally left me hanging and problem unresolved.

I had a very negative experience with Wrights Appliance Repair in Durham. Had a leaky washer, called them out, the guy took my $90 and said he "couldn't find anything wrong with it". They took my money and did not fix my washer, and now it is leaking again. Called 4 times, including twice this morning. No one has even bothered to return my call. Horrible customer service.

I don't know how I didn't see these reviews before calling this company. Too bad, we just lost $208 for a repair that didn't fix anything and they now do not return phone calls and have not come back to fix our oven. I had a second appointment with them on Monday and they stood me up, no call, no show. No one returns calls or listens to messages and the woman was very rude to me when I finally got her on the phone to complain. She said the owner would call me back - nothing. Now we are out the money, the oven is still not working and we have to start all over with someone else. Avoid

Wright Appliance Repair is the best. This is the third time they have helped me. This time I had another company tell me I needed a $450 repair. Wright came out and in about 15 seconds found the problem: a piece of glass stuck in the pump, so he took it out and the dishwasher works perfectly. He even stayed around to be sure that it ran through the cycles properly. They really know what they are doing and take pride in it.

Just got off the phone with individual purporting to be owner of this company, making allegations that I had referred to his folk at Wright as incompetent. Untrue statement; I have no way to know their technical competence at all; no one called back as promised or has shown up as promised, and the "owner", who never introduced himself by name called me with defensive accusations that I had called the company incompetent. The word I used was confidence, as I have lost confidence in them doing as they represent they will.

We had a microwave failure yesterday and today we were able to have Sid Wright come to make a repair. He was a friendly helpful fellow and was able to get our microwave going and educate us on some aspects of the microwave that we weren't aware of. I enjoyed our conversation and would call him again if the need should arise.

Mr. Wright came out to fix my washer machine and got me in the next day. He showed up timely and was very professional. He fixed the problem in a matter of mins and also fixed another problem with it. I paid the price that we agreed upon. The service was fast but Mr Wright was also very nice as well!

Dishonest scammers!! We purchased a home in July of 2018 and previous owners paid Wright Appliance to fix a broken stove burner. This included getting new part and installation. The business apparently ordered the part and then nothing happened for months. Each time I called they gave me another "story" about how this part is so hard to get and takes a long time. I also involved the listing company who worked with the sellers. They kept calling and putting pressure on them as well for months. By November of 2018 Wrights appliance finally contacted the listing office to tell them that

Avoid this company. My fridge started acting up last month and Wright was the first company to call back with an appointment time. They were able to get us in the next day! After coming out and diagnosing the issue as a bad damper, the guy stated we could have the part ordered or just wait and see, as the fridge may just run a little cold. They even stated if you call back within 30 days, you'll only be charged for the initial visit, plus the cost of the part when installed. After about a week of frozen milk, we called back, were told the part would be ordered and that they expected in 2 days

Wright Appliance repair came to our home to repair our oven - a fairly simple fix, he said, and the part would be ordered in one week.
A week went by, so I called to see if the part had arrived - they said it was on its way.
Two weeks passed, and I called again - they would check into it, and get back to me (they didn't).
One month - they said the order had never been placed. They apologized, and said they would call me in 30 minutes when they got back to the office (they didn't).
Over two months later - I have called several times a week (politely, calmly) and no one answers my calls

I reached out to Wright because the exhaust fan in our oven was noisy and our microwave did not work.
Sid arrived early, which was nice.
He fixed the oven fan in about 5 minutes. And, greased the oven doors with a special lubricant.
Told me what was wrong with the microwave and suggested I purchase a new one, as the repairs to the old one would cost more than a new one. I appreciated his honesty.
He asked was there any other appilances he needed to look at. I told him our gas stove top igniters often would not work. He explained what was going on, and an estimated cost to repair. He also

Like lots of folks, I have a refrigerator/freezer in the garage to handle the overflow from our main fridge. To make a long story short, it went on the fritz and stopped cooling. With company coming over the weekend, we were in a pickle.
I called our regular appliance repair shop, but they were all booked up. So, I started calling around, using Yelp as a guide.
Beginning at 7:45 am with the top rated companies, I left messages all over town.
The only one that came through for us was Wright Appliance Repair.
In fact, one of them didn't even bother calling back until mid afternoon.

Our refrigerator broke down this week. I looked on yelp and found a potential repair man but when I called him and gave him the brand and info he recommended I talk to the manufacturer and said that brand is a pain to fix. So I called the manufacturer of course they have an automated system and there is only 1 certified appliance repair company in the area for them. I called them and the earliest opening they had was a week later. I randomly called another company and they said they could come in a couple days. Not an ideal situation.
