My heating system started to intermittently shut down about 2 weeks ago. It would shut down and raising the thermostat did nothing. About an hour later the system would restart. Calling service got a repair tech to come but by the time he came the system was once again functioning. This happened 3 times until Kyle arrived. Of course the unit started heating again but that did not deter him. He found 7 error codes in the units computer indicating an overheated condition with the blower then shutting down. He adjusted the gas inflow and the fan speed and it WORKED and has continued to do so. A very

This is an outstanding company to do business with. We need more stars 5 is not enough!! They are professional, empathetic & kind from Beatrice in the office to Andre in sales. The installers Ulysses & his assistant were prompt & hard working. I have to also mention Meyer must be the only company to supply loaner AC's. I had my furnace installed. The techs were professional, neat and clean. The installation and connections - pipes, tunes, and wiring were neat. The work area was left clean afterwards. After the install they took time to explain why and how certain adjustments were made. Great overall experience!

ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. They are scammers--please take your business to a more ethical company.

First, they showed up 2 hours late to the 4 hour window they had. Then when they got here they spent 10 minutes changing out the capacitor (which is worth $40). They charged us $508 for the job. $137 for the service fee and $371 for the capacitor.

I was able to get a hold of the supervisor and his only reasoning was a complete lie--that the capacitor they purchase from the manufacturer is worth $371. It is worth $40 tops at any home improvement store.

This company is fantastic. This summer we started their annual service plan which covers the annual inspections of both our HVAC, and our furnace. Over the summer I was able to get a reasonably scheduled inspection of our air conditioner, and the technician was very nice, and thorough.

Today we had Ivo here to inspect our furnace, and he was exceptionally through! He disassembled the furnace parts, and cleaned them like they've never been cleaned before! Shout out to Steve W, Frank Butta, Rob, John, EJ, Uli, and Vic. 3 days planned to rip out an older heat pump and attic air handler, run a gas line from the meter two floors up to the attic, install a 45K Furnace and 1.5 ton A/C. Finally we will have great heat and frigid air. Neat, clean, courteous, on time and efficient. Took 2 days and done. Scare group wanted to supply a 2 ton A/C unit that was too large for the area, lied to me when I questioned it. Another company in Whippany acted like a used car salesman, one just didn't respond.

My central air stopped working, the issue was the capacitor so the tech replaced it. He was at my condo for an hour & 15 minutes max. They want to charge me $508.60 ($137 to come out plus $340 for the capacitor and $31.60 tax) for a capacitor which is $40 max and a for a little over 1 hours work. I read another review in which someone said they charge $340/hr, I guess it's true. It's a complete rip off. I was shocked by this price, the tech just shrugged like this is how much we charge for this but you can call the office. I did call and left a voicemail but of course no one called

Service tech was great,prices are ridiculous,187.00 for a diagnostic call on a Sunday and 693.00 to replace an air conditioner condenser fan motor,based on this I would not recommend them.The job took about 20 min,absolute rip off.

We've had a service contract for heating and cooling for years. Made a routine service appt 1@1/2 mo in advance. Was given a 4 hour window. At the end of the window I called and received a hesitant customer service rep who seemed not to know what to tell me, I had to prompt her. She checked on technician and called to say it would be 2 more hours. 45 mins later I received an apologetic call and they cancelled me. Waited home all day. Now I have a new appointment 3 weeks from now. My experience plus other reviews I've seen suggest they take on more clients than they can handle.

I needed an emergency replacement of my heating system. The old system went down on the coldest nite of the winter when it was 6 degrees. Meyer and Depew came out promptly, advised me of the issues, gave me several options and were able to replace the heating and airconditioning system the next day.

The crew - John, Charles, Rob, Joe and Mikel were prompt, professional and did a great job. They wore shoe covers and put tarps down to protect the floor. They cleaned up completely. I was extremely satifies with the price, professionalism and the job. Would definitely recomend them.

I have to commend Troy today. He came to my home to determine why my Humidifiers were not working. After spend about 45 minutes trouble shooting, he determined I need a new controller. He was going to order it and left. He went to his truck and checked one more time online for a possible problem/solution.
He came back in and FIXED the issue. His determination to find a solution was admirable!!! This is why I have used Meyer & Depew for over 25 years!

Just had my bi-annual maintenance performed by technician Johvann O. He was extremely personable and helpful - I had a few questions on the humidifier for the heat systems, which he answered and helped fix. Great service and communication from both Johvann and the office staff setting up with appointment and letting me know when Johvann would arrive (on time with notice prior to arrival). Highly recommend Johvann!

If there was a key for 0 stars I would use it! Had this company for a few years as my service provider. 9 times out of 10 they called to cancel or change my appointment. I need a new air conditioner so I called for a estimator. Told him about the problems with service. He told me he would be sure to mark my account they are not to call for a change in service. low and behold, I have an appointment today between 11-3. It is 9:30 and they already called to cancel and reschedule. Definitely won't renew my contract or have them do my service contract! Save yourself the aggravation and

I would substract one star this time (a different replacement), because the technician (a different one this time) broke one of my plastic covers without apologizing or informing me at first. There was also a minor issue in the bill (found by me) that he did not explain up front. The job otherwise was done appropriately.

Had someone come give an estimate. They prided themselves on taking 90 minutes- 2 hours to properly check things out. The guy who came out was thorough and seemed to know what he was talking about. I was told I'd have the quote the next day. I followed up asking for it for over a week and a half. Never got the quote and lost two hours of my time for nothing.

Happily signed a contract with someone else for my $11k job. Don't waste your time.

Response to Bobby's response: There was no heat wave that day. Why confirm the appointment twice if the system was down, and when I was willing to have you guys come any other day( I was in no rush, you guys offered same day).
And darkness was not approaching, as sundown was after 8pm. Your hours also state till 9pm. Nice try, but just a bunch of more excuses.

Completely wasted my time. Spoke to them to schedule a possible appointment in the near future around 1pm, and was pleasantly surprised to be told that they could come the same day between 3pm-7pm. Even double checked with them to be

I am writing to report a disappointing experience with this firm. I scheduled a visit to get an estimate for an installation of a new system. We set the appointment for mid-day because they faced a busy schedule during these late spring weeks. They told me they were scheduling installations about 2-3 weeks out during the initial call.

I took off from work to meet their technician for our scheduled appointment the next week. Less than an hour before the appointment, their technician called to tell me they were halting all installations until August because they were overbooked. I complained a bit

If you are a homeowner and within the area of coverage of Meyer & Depew then you definitely want to bookmark their page and write down their info. I have used their services for the second year now and could not be happier in my experiences with them.

I first contacted them last year when I was having problems with my central air conditioning and ended up getting an AC maintenance and Fall heating maintenance package together.
