The owner of Freon Dr comes off as a nice guy but he is nothing but excuses, false promises and cheap used parts. I had Freon Dr replace an outdoor fireplace. We agreed to a price and Soto installed a unit that was too small, didn’t look nice, put out no heat and would not stay lit. It turned out to be a interior Vice exterior unit. It took 9 months of phone calls to get them to come back. Nine months! When he did come back they brought three boxes of old chipped and broken logs with the main log broken in half. They glued it together with ugly red glue. The pilot light on this unit also would

I hired Soto,the owner at Freon Dr to replace an outdoor patio fireplace log set. They charged $1900 for the work. Soto seems friendly and pleasant but that's a front. They installed an indoor log set in my outdoor fireplace. It put out no heat and the pilot wouldn't stay lit. I called Freon Dr and he offered to cover our beautiful View with plywood to prevent the wind from blowing out the pilot. We declined. I called the manufacturer who advised us that the unit was an indoor unit and should never be installed outside. Informed Freon Dr who said they would replace the logs.This was in

Didn't clean where wires and electrical was on fireplace. Had to get them to come back thr next day because the fireplace wouldn't stay lit & the owner had a terrible attitude and told us he wasn't responsible for anything. Refused to look at the fireplace and said he'd refund our money and wasn't ever going to come back. Told us the pilot light was weak and that we needed a new fireplace because it was supposedly "old." He tells us this the day after he said everything was fine on the system. I'm waiting on a refund check but I will never do business

I sent a message on Facebook for a Fireplace service. I had recently moved and wasn't sure if fireplace was in working condition. They called me, scheduled an appointment.Came a bit before scheduled time and did the fireplace service! It was great!! My fireplace ia finally on and working. This summer we noticed our AC unit was not cooling the house as efficiently as in the past. After hearing an ad, my husband called the Freon Doctor. The owner himself and two technicians serviced our unit. They were professional and thorough. They did not rush the tune up and our unit looks brand new—and more importantly, the house is finally cool! The value and service provided are unmatched and we will definitely use Soto in the future. My only regret is not getting a better ‘before’ picture of the unit.

I strongly advise anyone not to use this companies service. In January of this year, I called them to service my Lennox fireplace which was having trouble staying lite. They advised that the service call would be $99.00 and then they would determine what the issue may be and advise next steps.
Two service people came. One did all the work and the other "supervised". They took hours and didn't seem to have much experience although the "supervisor" claimed to have been doing this for many many years.
After what seemed forever and not being able to fix the issue, I was told

I called Freon Doctor because I had used them in the past and was very satisfied. My pilot was on, the fireplace, and had good flames but it would not light. Goggled to get an idea of what it might be. Every video said a good cleaning should do the trick. Called and they came the next day. They said it needed new parts, even the parts that was working perfectly.
Repair cost was $905. He wanted and got a $600 deposit. Thinking about it all night, I decided to cancel the repair at 9:00 the next morning, and I was told that he would personally return my check. Had a funny feeling so I did a stop

My husband and I are beyond grateful for the exceptional service we have received from Soto Jonas and his team of expert technicians. Scheduled an appointment with ease, however serviceman never showed up. Apparently the service truck broke down (I found this out AFTER I called to find out where they were), and I was told they would call back later that day to reschedule. That was over 4 days ago. The Freon Doctor was very professional and did an excellent job communicating what I needed. The work was performed meticulously and we are very happy with our new Trane System. Whatever you do, do not sign up for maintenance contract. It is a borderline scam, Sotto will take your money and will give you a run around if it's time for you to schedule a maintenance. It is a time waster group of people. You will call and get an available appointment and waste your time waiting for them on the day and time of schedule. He will call or text you a few hours past the expected time and tell you he can't come. I ask him politely when can he stop by so I can be home. No reply. Its is a start up job for my heating. I requested it in November 2019, it is now February 2020

He charged more than he was supposed to on my credit card . He was only authorized to charge $1,000. . He stole a $350.00 bottle of my Freon R22 . He promised to pay me for the brand new bottle he never did . I had given him the bottle of Freon to put into my ac but he said it was struck by lightening . I have had the Freon Doctor install a vent free gas log fireplace replacement with a thermostatic remote.
The installation was very professional. The price was less then any competitors pricing.
The service on our new gas logs has been above and beyond anything we could have expected!
I give this Company an A+ rating.

I called them when my fireplace stopped working and was able to make an appointment immediately. They called and let me know that they were coming early. They were very nice and professional. I was provided with a list of what needed to be repaired and the total cost. They came back once the parts arrived and quickly completed the repairs. I will definitely be using them again.

Fred from the Freon Doctor cleaned our furnace last (2018) February and changed the batteries in the remote On/Off control and inside the fireplace receiver.
Today the fireplace would not work, and a call to the Fre3on Doctor got us Fred after he finished the job he was on.
He talked us through:
1) FINDING the receiver and
2) Replacing the 4 batteries inside the receiver.
They stand behind their work, call them for your fireplace tune-up.

We had these guys come to our house to clean and do a safety check on a gas fireplace that wouldnt turn on in our newly purchased home. Halfway through the cleaning he said it was completely unsafe and we needed a new one, which would run about $1000. Still finished cleaning it and charged us $100.
So, we waited for a year and saved up. Called Blossman Gas instead. Blossman comes in, removes a stone from the pilot light hose in five minutes and Viola! Perfectly fine.

Been in my house for about a year and knew the fireplace was old and inefficient. The Freon Doc came over and diagnosed the problem and gave me a solution. A little more $$ than what I was expecting to spend, but in the long run it was the best option.
They installed a brand new 99% efficient unit the next day - Christmas Eve! So I could have a nice fireplace for Christmas with my family.
I definitely recommend them and will use them for any future service calls.
