This is actually a 4.5 star review. We were originally leaning towards going with SunRun through Costco, but after a bit of research realized they used inferior materials and everything was sub-contracted out. We were referred to SunPower (Power On Solar) by a couple of friends and really liked our Sales Consultant, Mike. He did a really good job of "giving us the rundown" on solar and what it entailed and how he could help us save money on our power bill. I highly recommend Power On Solar.
My wife and many other people inform me that I can be difficult to work with. Results are what are important to me and Power On Solar's installation and early support results are very good.
We had some miscommunication issues, but contract to panels on my roof took about six weeks and as part of our agreement they did some extra electrical work which Tesla and Sunrun through Costco would not/never agree to. The install team was courteous and professional and asked me numerous times how and where I wanted things. I don't have much experience overseeing

Love working with quality contractors, and that's how Brian and his team came across to me. Kristina was very helpful setting up the review and install, the system was sized appropriately and to my satisfaction. Total time from contract to finish install was a bit over 1 month, pretty good considering permits and inspection and getting onto the Power On install calendar. The Sunpower panels have worked great, the monitoring app for the PV panels and energy production works pretty well and easy to learn. Overall, would look forward to working with them again!

The whole team at Power On Solar is awesome. Everyone is super professional, and very conscientious about their work. I had the pleasure of working with Benard for install and he was the best. He is extremely polite, very careful about cleaning up after himself, and overall a very pleasant person to work with. The install took two days, and I appreciate that Benard would call me prior to arriving to give me a heads up about his distance from my home and expected ETA. Great experience, highly recommend.

I made one last call - and found Jeremy. It was a breath of fresh air. He sat with us, explained everything so we could understand it. Told us what we could and couldn't do with our roof line, our different product options, and he was the very FIRST to mention the True

Did some research into solar companies before starting this process. It seems one of the common problems is companies are quick to sign you up and slow to deliver. That was not the case with Power On Solar. They were with me the whole time without a pressure sale. Jeremy was great, he was honest that if we weren't adding an electrical car, solar wasn't really worth the investment. They helped find a roofer and coordinated and tracked that effort. They also informed me of rebate opportunities without putting pressure on, and did all that paperwork. The installation was flawless

My wife and I had been considering solar for a few years. We put it off and put it off but at the beginning of 2020 we decided to go ahead with it. From the first call to Jeremy our sales rep everything went smoothly, not a single date was missed, nothing was over-promised and everything was smooth sailing... aside from the fact that it happened during a pandemic, no fault of anyone but god.
We are now sending power back to PG+E so their bankrupt flea-bag company can start writing me a check! Thankyouverymuch.

I've purchased 4 solar systems before. This time, with no exception, I chose a family-like company Power On.
Brian R, the Owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about solar and knows what exceptional service is. He's responsive and will listen to exactly what I want.
Once I make my decision, an install date was set. The crew arrived on time as promised, was professional, and polite. I was pleasantly surprised that my install was completed in 5 hours!!!
The price? Incredibly reasonable.
My service experience would never have happened with the large companies like the ones they push

If you want the solar company who provides the greatest return on your investment, installs the very most efficient panels and educates you on the process with absolute transparency then I strongly recommend you call Power On Solar and compare them to the competition.
I was lucky, I have a friend in the commercial solar energy space. He provided a very detailed and recently created spreadsheet comparing residential estimates from the east bays top 5 solar companies. The two that rose to the top of the list were Power On Solar and Diablo Solar.

This installation company was the only good part of our solar experience. Natalie was AMAZING, the installation crew was super efficient and Brian made us feel like he really cared about us and was looking out for our best interests.
If I could do it all over again, I'd pick a different solar provider, but I'd choose this company for installation every time!

We have used Repower twice now for solar installation and both times have been such a wonderful experience for us. With our most recent solar installation Jeremy and Brian came out and were very prepared and thorough with explaining the different options for where the solar panel placement could be. They wanted us to be happy with aesthetically how the panels looked on our home, while optimizing the placement for sun exposure. They were patient and helpful in explaining the process to me and walking us through how it would go.

In July 2017 when my Solar system diagnostics showed error alerts, I discovered that the installer franchise had dissolved, but was put in touch with Re)Power, a former Solar Universe franchise. Although Re)Power is not responsible for the work of the original installer, they generously offered to help. As of April 2018, they determined that 2 panels were faulty. Unfortunately, after a year, the problem(s) had not been corrected.

After lengthy communications back and forth with Brian Rinna,I got no help or satisfaction at all.His company made a big mistake in calculating the number of panels I needed for for use,and they admit the mistake,they will not help.Go somewhere else,DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! When you contact them concerning a problem you get the boiler plate response"we strive to satisfy our client" ---"we will work toward making this error correct"

So we just wrapped up our solar installation. Maria and Brian made the process super easy. They covered each step of the process and answered all my questions.
Here I was thinking that going solar would be a complicated thing and it was one of the easiest things I've ever done.
The day of installation the team of installers were punctual and polite. They truly did what Maria and Brian said at the appointment, not one step was missed.
I couldn't be happier with the decision we made going solar. Choosing to go with Brian and his team was also a good thing. Super happy with their service

If you want to buy solar system from RePower, please pay attention to the warranty terms in the contract, and ask RePower to show you the evidence that they can really achieve the warranty BEFORE paying any deposit and signing any contract.

We are so Happy with the Service we received from Repower, from the Excellent Customer Service we got with their Sales Person, Maria Chacon to the Professional Installation and Clean-Up from their Crew.
Maria explained everything in detail and was very Patient and Thorough with our questions. Last year Jeremy Lux from Repower sold us solar. I was a little skeptical at first but they have been amazing. He spent a lot of time with my husband and I making sure that we got the right solution for us that saved us money and gave us everything we needed.
Jeremy was patient when we asked crazy questions and checked in frequently before during and after installation to make sure we were happy with the installation and the actual performance.
