Sheila F. Hooten, Col, USAF (Ret), AIA served 30 years in the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force working in the field of Civil Engineering, Contracting, and Finance. Prior to Active Duty, Ms. Hooten worked with R&A Architects and Page Southerland Page, in Houston, Texas, working on commercial facilities.
Her experience while in the service, as a Base Civil Engineer, included designing and project management of facilities that included hangar construction and remodeling, construction of industrial shops, office facilities, supply warehouses, infra-structures to include water, electrical and telecommunications plants, roadway design and construction, design and construction of airfield taxiways, ramps, and barrier systems.
