Custom Doors Co was originally founded as Tony Sipos' Custom doors in 1979. It has since changed to Custom Doors Company and is now owned and operated by Antonio (Tony) Calvario. While ownership has changed since it first started, our goal and services remain the same. Although we are located in San Francisco, we serve the entire Bay Area (SF, Oakland, Milbrae, Burlingame, Daly City, San Jose, San Mateo etc.)
Like our name states, we specialize in doors. We supply and install all types of doors. These doors can range from standard size to custom made to oversized doors. We also do metal commercial doors, 90 minute mineral core fire rated doors and more. We are also one of the few people in the Bay Area that still provide and install Interlocking weatherstrip system.

I highly recommend Custom Doors if you are looking for a special piece for your home or business. After relocating my small hair salon business in 2021, I needed to create some sidewalk presence for the new space to make it easy for my clients to find. After much research, I reached out to Custom Doors Co. and exchanged emails with Antonio who helped me pick out a dutch-style door and hardware. Although door manufacturing takes a bit of time, I was surprised at how soon Antonio and his professional crew were able to size the door, paint it and install it including all the hardware. Tony and his team did an awesome job constructing and installing the new front door. Our old door had seen better days and was damaged during a break-in. Tony built a new door for us that was nearly identical to the old door. His team also replaced part of the door frame which was damaged in our break-in.
Overall, very easy to work with, responsive to my emails and requests, and very skilled in producing a quality wood product.

I've used Custom Doors and Tony for some of my biggest challenges:
Replacing old 'illegal' width doors with uneven frames, requiring custom door
Replacing mortice lock with traditional lockset style
Problem doors that just won't open/close
Dog door installation
Tony and staff have always been incredibly professional, empathetic and honest in their dealings. When I bought an old house with a nonfunctioning entry door, he rushed to assess the situation and then built a custom door on a rush to ensure our safety.
Where others found via Yelp said it was impossible to convert

Tony and his staff were incredible to work with. We engaged them to make us a custom Dutch-door for our son's play room. We live in a Victorian and he was able to replicate the style of our unit into the design of the new door. The design was difficult but the installation was even more difficult as our frame was not perfectly level; they did an excellent job on installation.
I would work with Tony on any need for custom doors or installation; the pricing was reasonable and the work turned out great.

The double entry doors in our 10-year-old home were handbuilt by the original owner, a customer cabinet maker. They are beautiful but weren't weatherproof. Tony and his son David came and took care of it for us. They did a beautiful job making the doors weather tight while preserving the original appearance. We are very pleased with their work.
