For me the two most important traits in a contractor are honesty and clear communication. With Red Oak Homes I got both. I had to leave the state for two extended periods during my bathroom renovation because of illness in my family. Johnny kept me informed every step of the way. When problems arose (it's an old house) he notified me right away and offered alternative solutions. My wife and I purchased a house in Central Texas, but it was in serious need of work. I met Johnny of Red Oak Homes and hit it off with him instantly. The project was large, so Johnny helped us break it up into three phases. Johnny and his team completed all three phases and we are delighted with the work. I've worked with many contractors before, but Johnny was very good about communicating, explaining, and staying on top of the work. We didn't live in the area, so that was important to us. Red Oak Homes built a free-standing garage and remodeled our old garage to accommodate an apartment for my Dad including ADA kitchen and bathroom. Red Oak did a GREAT job!! Johnny took our weekend cabin and turned it into our full time house. The project was a 1970s lake house remodel along with a large addition, not an easy project. Johnny worked endlessly through the entire project and turned it into our dream house. I would hire Johnny again for any building project we have and would recommend him to anyone looking to build new or update old.

I had to find someone to fix a bathroom remodel gone wrong and Johnny from Red Oak Homes was a life saver. I had hired someone to make my bathroom handicap accessible but we had problems a few months after. I was not sure how to fix this problem and found Johnny who told me he would make sure the job was done right and he did. He was able to help find all the workers needed from tear down to plumbing to a tile expert. He made sure to check up on the job to make sure it was being done right the first time. I will never hire anyone other than Red Oak Homes for anything my home needs and highly recommended
