The most important lesson we have learned in this business, is that in order to have long term success, we needed to focus on doing what is right for our clients and the rest will take care of itself. By that, we mean that our clients will find great value and benefit above and beyond just repairing their appliances.
Both freezer and refrigerator controls need to be set to the middle or 0 for the freezer and 37 for the refrigerator. Do NOT overfill the freezer or fresh food compartments because it will slow down the airflow, which reduces cooling. Also, overfilling may prevent the doors from closing properly, allowing heat and humidity to enter.
Philadelphia is the reason Aviv Appliances came here in the first place. Coming from the Mid-west, we wanted to enter into the bustling Philadelphia marketplace. We enjoy doing service in this area and find that our customers are a good match for our philosophy and nature of business who want high quality repair service.
Since Aviv Appliances is located in Montgomery County, we felt that our proximity to Bucks County was a good match. Although we do not service the entire county, we have many clients in the lower Bucks County area. I called today and they told me they would come Friday. They called me back and said they can come the same day I called which was great. The dude came in and diagnosed the issue in like 10 minutes then fixed the issue in 10 minutes and my fridge works. He also gave me a lot of advice on appliances and stuff and I can tell that he is proud of his work(as he should be) and cares about this stuff. I definitely recommend this guy. My fridge was a whirlpool conquest and the capacitor was broken, im glad I was able to get this fixed this quickly!

I have to tell you how AMAZING Eyal was today. From the minute he arrived, I knew I was in great hands. He diagnosed the problem with my oven in a couple of minutes and completed the job in what felt like the blink of an eye. He taught me things about my oven that I didn't know and about the other appliances in my kitchen. Not only can I get back to baking cookies, I will be a much more discerning appliance shopper in the future. Thank you for the excellent service and education.

They came out super fast to repair my mother’s oven. The serviceman was wonderful, honest and fixed her stove in less then 30 minutes. He gave us advice and helpful hints on other appliances. My mom and dad will be using them for all their appliance repair needs. Cannot give enough stars or praise for this wonderful company!!

Highly recommended! I've contacted Aviv Appliances on multiple occasions for both service and advice. They have always been extremely friendly, helpful and 100% dedicated to resolving my problems with my best interest in mind. On one occasion I had my refrigerator serviced for a freezing issue that I was not able to resolve. The technician took extra time to show me how to correct the issue myself if it happened in the future. This issue has occurred twice since then and thanks to the instructions I received I was able to fix myself!

Fridge got hit with a power surge, burned out the fans. Hate dealing with electricity so called the pros.
Tech showed up gave it a quick look and said it's the condenser motor. They would call back with an estimate.
When I originally called I gave them the model number and was very specific about the problem. Enough that he should have guessed the problem and had the parts on hand.
I get a call later that afternoon with a $400 estimate for parts and labor.
It cost me $49 for a condenser fan and $25 for an evaporator fan. $10 for express shipping. A few YouTube videos, an hour of work

I have used Aviv for years! Not only is Eyal knowledgable and skilled, but he also provides useful guidance. He will actually tell you when it may not be worth doing a repair, or when you have a less expensive option. When we renovated our kitchen, we were able to call Aviv to get their experience with and recommendations for different brands of appliances. I trust all my appliance repairs to Aviv, and I highly recommend Aviv Appliances.

Our Samsung washer broke and we called Aviv. They were able to schedule us the next day. Prior to them coming out we chose to replace instead of repair. I called to cancel the service call and Michelle was a pleasant as could be. She offered me some advice on what to purchase. She was very knowledgeable and even referred me to a store to get a good price When we ever need a repair we will definitely be calling them out.

I had a problem with my newer, out of warranty refrigerator. I called 5 places from the manufacturer to local companies. One provided a price (over $500) site unseen that got me looking further as I was nervous to spend that amount. Some repair services were call centers and not very customer friendly. I called "Aviv" based on a recommendation by a near neighbor. Michele answered and was so pleasant concerned, knowledgeable. Quick - technician came within two hours of my call plus they texted earlier with his ETA & called 15 minutes before he arrived.
Service - diagnosed and replaced a bad heating element quickly and at a fair price. He explain why it happened and what we need to do to avoid future problems. He also checked our dryer vent.
We will definitely call Aviv for future kitchen our laundry room appliance repairs.

We called Aviv on a Saturday after hours and our washer wouldn't work. With 2 kids we couldn't wait. Not only did he come out on his own to fix it, he spend an additional 45 minutes giving us pointers on what we can do better with various appliances in the house.
We needed additional work, which was taken care of within a short period of time and a follow up call was made to make sure all was good.
The price was fair as far as I know and I would absolutely recommend for anything in the future.

BEWARE!!! Aviv came out, diagnosed it and charged $365.00 to fix it. He could not demonstrate that it was fixed while he was here because we had to wait to let the ice freeze.
It never worked. We called a few days later and reported that it was still not working. They came out again to check it out. Michelle from Aviv office called me a few hours later to say it was a different part, not the ice maker that was broken and it would cost another $200 to fix. I said that since he misdiagnosed it wrong initially and charged me for work and parts we did not need that I felt he should pay for

I called this place knowing what was wrong with my dishwasher. I asked them how much they will charge for a pump since it's 33.00 on applianceparts.com. they immediately got defensive and said if I was shopping for the best price they don't need to rate my time, they aren't it and hung up. Basically, I had enough knowledge for them to not take advantage of me. In turn, obviously not a good customer for them.

Not only does he only know his stuff, he is friendly and efficient. Many years ago a friend recommended the service and I trust her judgment.
