Took my car in for a warranty repair to which I was told they would have it for a day. It was almost a week and I didn't have my car or a rental. Basically was told I'm on my own. Took calling the service manager Joe and getting into a yelling match with him to finally get a rental. Go to pick up my car once it's done and magically have a loose tie rod and broken adjuster. My car had no issues other than the engine knocking which was the only thing noted on paperwork. How does a car go in with no problems and come out with two? And now I have to pay out of pocket for their mistakes

I take back everything positive I've said about Nielsen Kia. I bought a used 2016 Kia Optima EX and brought it here for service. I'm having engine and transmission issues and I called them back and they told me to call Kia directly. I called Kia directly, and was told the dealer had to initiate warranty procedures. I explained to Kia that the dealer told me to call in. I was informed this was not proper protocol and as a Courtesy, Kia arranged for warranty inspection at Southlake Kia in Merrillville. Please do not walk into this business. My lease was ending, so I went to this dealership to purchase the car. The deal they offered me was insulting, so they said they could do better but their guy was off that day so they'd call me tomorrow, yadda yadda. Whatever. So I called them back during the week. Four times. They actually offered me a WORSE deal, and I knew that what they were doing was running the time out on my lease so I'd have to take their offer.
