Mark Yancik, with Trumark Homes, is a lifelong resident of Eastern Jackson County, building beautiful custom homes since 1982. As a second-generation builder, Mark continues to create an impact on the Kansas City area housing community. Inspired by homes costing over a million dollars, Mark has the vision to include many of those details and amenities into more affordable homes for his customers.
Custom Homes - It may come as a surprise to you that there is no universal method for calculating a home's square footage. Discrepancies occur when including (or omitting) porches and screened-in decks, lower levels, attic spaces, and garages. Should the square footage occupied by a staircase be counted once or twice since it occupies space on both levels?
We bought our home in January of 2020 and love it. The experience from the start was better than any we have had in the past. The builder was very hands-on with the process to ensure we noted all items of concern specifically to him. After the initial process, we have been working directly with Toby and he is absolutely the best!

Trumark Homes built my new residence. I was most impressed with Mark and Gail Yancik who acted most professionally and truthfully. They built a beautiful home for us.
I have been associated with real estate as a controller in the home building business and have built and owned about 25 homes over the past 50 years, both personal and rental.
The home that was built was the most "punch-out" free with little or no defects. Anything needed was handled expeditiously and reasonably quick. The quality of the materials provided as "standard" would be considered upgrades anywhere else. Their subcontractors

I bought a house built by TruMark. While I just moved into the home (8/3) and am posting this review on 9/1/2021, it truly feels and looks like a quality home; things aren't cheaply done and the builder didn't skip on details.
Overall, my experience has been tops. I would have given a five star rating but I want to live with the house a year beforehand.
Thus far, I would definitely recommend based upon experience with the builder and the house.

Has good and bad carpenter’s, some of the widows were put in not level , and interior doors not level which will swing open or shut by themselves. The tile work is very good in home. Cuts corners like not putting in a separate switch to control the fan in the master bath shower only comes on with the light. Another cost cutting corner he put the electrical box in the cheapest place possible which was in the finished part of the basement instead of the unfinished area for easier access. Another cost cutting deal was putting in an electric water heater instead of a gas water heater .Concrete work

We love our Trumark home we purchased last May. It is a great layout with spectacular finish work. We have had many social gatherings and friends love it too and mentioned taking some of the ideas with them. What really completes the experience is Steve Marley and the customer service he has provided. His response time and follow up has helped the process of getting settled into a new home. He has taken the time to show us the up keep/maintenance to keep this new for a long time.

500 NE Hidden View, Lees Summit, MO. We recently had a Trumark home under contract. Within 10 days of closing we saw a leak on the whole north side and half of the east side of the house. We attempted to talk with the builders own realtor, Brian, of Legacy Wood, and my husband and I were yelled at and talked to like idiots. Brian Wood tried to ensure us it's humidity and he knows because, "I've sold 250 houses". Brian Wood representing out 438,000 Trumark home on behalf of Mark Yancik and Legacy Wood also told us one of the several defects we noted was trim carpenters choice

I LOVE my Trumark Home.
I began the process of looking (online) for a house for myself and my teen daughter. Right away I was drawn to a new house designed by Trumark, there was just something about the photos that appealed to me. I kept returning to the listing over a few months until I was ready to begin the actual buying process, very eager to see the house in person.
It was the first house my agent and I visited. It was as beautiful and amazing as I had observed but for some reason it just didn’t click - the colors were just a little different in person.
At that point my agent mentioned

We have a beautiful home thanks to Mark! I was most nervous about making decorating choices. He partners with very helpful people at Con Carpet and Builder’s Stone, they made the process extremely easy and user friendly. Him and Gail make a great team and it was stream line and relatively stress free (relatively, only because I’m high strung lol). I fell in love with the first finished home of his that I stepped in to and knew I would choose him as our builder. Did not disappoint!
