Jon and Deb came out to our new home and listened to exactly what we wanted. We decided on a simple design that coordinated with our bathroom cabinets and other wood decor in the room.
The door was stained two different colors, to match the interior of each room. Perfect, and we couldn't be happier! Jon and Debora worked with us, including through several design changes, to design, build and install the perfect barn door. Jon does beautiful work and their customer service was outstanding.

We decided this summer that we wanted to replace our old glass bi-fold doors with barn doors. Little did I know that my google search would end up at Jon Dorr Custom Barn Doors. I contacted them and heard back right away. Jon and Debora were so amazing. They came to my house in a few days to take measurements, we looked at photos, and they gave us an estimate. We needed two doors, around 60x80 each door. The estimate was reasonable. We chose a door from their many photos of beautiful doors and picked a beautiful warm coffee colored stain. What an amazing experience we had with Jon Dorr doors. Our barn door is custom and made to fit a 9ft x 55 inch opening on our home. I appreciate from the moment, Jon and his wife Deborah personally came to our home and listened to what we wanted, then came up with a special design. Hand scraped herringbone pattern. IT IS STUNNING!! They were timely and communicated along the way. I’m actually surprised they keep their prices reasonable for a custom door. Jon and his partner take pride in their installation also. I highly recommend them

I contacted Jon and Deb to build two custom doors last summer. My exact request was: 2 identical doors to cover a 58"x 84" opening, using bypass track. Deb was quick to respond and set up an appointment to come out and measure the opening themselves, which was a requirement for their custom doors and installation. They determined I would need 2 doors approximately 83.5" high and convinced me to utilize a double track as opposed to a bypass track. Seeing as how I have installed exactly 0 barn doors in my life and this is Jon and Deb's business, I accepted their advice and

We have two barn doors installed for our new custom house and absolutely love them! They are truly one of my favorite features of our home. This is an overdue review for the creation of a sliding door for our Portland home. Despite having to schedule around our travels where we were often remote, plus the pandemic, Jon & Deb were wonderful and easy to work with. Not only did they help us pick out the door and stain that would work best for our space, but they also helped us find the perfect hardware solution that would keep noise to a minimum. We couldn't be more delighted by how the door turned out! I'd recommend them again and again.

We absolutely love our doors!! We moved into a new house and needed a way to separate a living room and a dining room that we converted to an office. We found Jon online and loved his designs. From the very start Jon and Debora were responsive and very professional. From measuring to install everything was seamless and they even completed the project in less time than we were quoted. The doors are beautiful, allow extra light to come through and extremely easy to slide open/closed. We couldn’t be happier!

They always say when one door closes another door opens… we couldn’t be happier opening and closing our John Dorr sliding barn doors! My company recently relocated to a new office space in Tualatin. Our new floor plan included a storage closet with a 13’ opening. The building offered to install some incredibly attractive, builder grade bi-fold doors. They graciously gave us the option to choose any color paint we’d like. Hopefully my sarcasm is obvious. 😉

When our dog shower remodel was in its final stage, we contacted Debora and Jon at Jon Dorr in hopes they could convert an old dining room table into a barn door for our new dog shower room. Unfortunately, the table had a bow in it after being stored on its side for years. This immediately proved to be a challenge during initial consultation, but Jon took on this project in hopes to salvage the table and make a functioning piece that would also display its natural beauty. When they came for the table, we had our fingers crossed, but were also well informed of the risk that it might not work.
