HomeRite Windows & Doors was founded in 2005 by Jacksonville natives and co-owners, Richard Walden and Gates Dearen. Their experience in the industry dates back over 40 years. Richard went to work for Kinco, a major Jacksonville-based window and door manufacturer, in 1979. Gates arrived at the same company shortly thereafter, in 1981.

The windows themselves took 8-9 weeks to come in but that's likely due to the pandemic plus they're manufactured out of state so it was expected. Otherwise, once the windows came in the installation was complete in roughly 5-6 hours and they dealt with a very old bay window with extensive wood rot. Everyone knows windows are expensive but they honestly were the best price for quality we could find in town.. Highly recommend and will come back to finish the rest of the old windows.

I cannot speak more highly of the customer service Homerite provided. From the first phone call, they scheduled my estimate and communicated with me in a timely fashion. The representative arrived on time for the estimate and was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I scheduled the Installation right away and found that process to be equally efficient. The installer said he would arrive at 9am and he arrived right on time. He completed the job efficiently and the doors are beautiful. Highly recommend!!

While shopping around to replace ALL of the windows in our home we discovered that we just couldn't afford it no matter how hard HomeRite tried so it was suggested to do it in stages starting with the front of the house. This was beneficial 2 fold in that it not only improved our curb appeal but also had the biggest impact on our energy bill due to our house facing West where the evening sun generates most of the heat in the summer afternoons. I recently had glass replaced in my original aluminum frame window above my kitchen sink and am so happy I can finally see through my window again without all that fog I had before. They are a local small business and nice folks. I was satisfied with their service. They are busy so it took some time to order/install but I also told them I was not in a rush so they could prioritize other customers. I would definitely use them again.

UPDATE: Home Rite has came by and fixed the windows. I am very satisfied with the service Rich has provided. The windows are better than ever.
FIRST REVIEW:I am very disappointed with this service. I was trying to get some window parts repaired/replaced for a property at City Place. Mark agreed that he would be able to come out, but never showed. I'm not sure if he was just super busy. But we really needed the windows fixed so I went to Window Rite to speak to somebody.
Cody was nice enough to come out and take a look at the windows that day to get an estimate so that the parts could be ordered
