Desert King Windows was founded in Oro Valley in 1999 by Bill and Susan Burns. Bill retired to beautiful Tucson after a long career in replacement window sales & service in southern Arkansas. After about 1 year of fishing and golfing, Bill just had to get back into the window business. Desert King Windows was born.

We originally ordered new windows for our house from Desert King Windows in February 2021. Yes, this was the year of supply chain woes. Desert King promised us our windows by April. The actual installation came in late June.
When the installers arrived with our new windows, the patterns were not what we were expecting. They had told us they would match the old pattern as closely as possible. One of the windows they installed had three panels, one of which had a different pattern from the other two (see picture). None of the patterned windows we received matched the others.

The installers, Nick G and Anthony M were five star. They were prompt, efficient, polite, and very eager to please me as their customer. The windows look fantastic. The over all experience loses a star since it took 4 months between purchase and installation. Granted, some of that could have been supply chain issues, however one of our windows is still not installed because it came with a vertical open instead of horizontal like the other windows. Also, we have yet to receive any screens. Overall, a very good experience assuming we don't need to wait much longer for the rest of the order

Similar experience to another reviewer. This was not the first time purchasing custom window upgrades as I've had with a previous property in California(which went hassle free) I went with them because the price seemed reasonable compared to another competitor. The salesman promises you all these things and once the deal is close you get almost zero support. I ordered in February and it took until June before they came and installed after numerous delays due to manufacturing.

Replaced 4 windows that were original to my 1969 built home.
It's only been three hours since they've been installed, and i can already feel the difference in temperature.
From the beginning, when I met with the estimator, to the window measuring, to the owner calling to schedule installation. And finally installation by Oscar and crew. I have nothing but praise for Desert King Windows.

I ordered windows and doors that averaged $1,800 each in November 2020. I was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for installation. My windows were installed in April 2021, but before that, I was told one window was not manufactured properly (two panes are touching each other) and was given a choice to wait for the whole installation or to install all but the faulty window now and the other later. I asked them to wait for the whole installation. When they called a month or two later to install, I assumed the window was replaced. When they installed my windows, only then did I learn they never did replace

I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the door and windows and the professionalism of the two men who installed them. They arrived on time, wore masks, kept us informed of the status of this big job, and cleaned up after themselves.
This job was scheduled for installation in April but with the pandemic got pushed back. Then, my family's summer travel caused another delay. The company worked with us and was most accommodating. I highly recommend Desert King Windows.

We started our window shopping process prior to COVID, and Desert King was one of three vendors we considered. They were hands-down the best in terms of explanation/education of products and pitching. I felt like an aficionado after Harold gave me the whole run down. He was super nice and I felt no real pressure to make a decision that day. I had two other vendors pitch their companies after Desert King and they were either WAY too pushy (a grueling 3+ hour presentation), or too vague about what they were quoting me on or options of frames/glass - if I didn't know what Harold had explained

We ordered new doors January 15th...the front double doors were partially installed on March 31st...one of the doors is already losing the rubber seal on the bottom of the door...the front doors needed some additional materials for the installation to be completed but we still do not have this job completed...we had an appointment on June 29th only to receive a call that morning they would not be able to come which is the only time this company seems to have time to call.

As a follow up, I was so in awe with the heat factor of the windows I forgot to mention 'silence is golden". I live close to the freeway and have two big dogs next door. The dogs bark really loud and often one of them makes kind of a howling sound. Also have kids screaming and screeching in a pool up until 10pm and 11pm. I am up really early for work plus I work from home, the noise can get really ridiculous at times. There is also a lot of air traffic between planes and helicopters. After closing these windows the noise is gone. What is also cool is that even if you leave window(s) open

Found the ad for DESERT KING in The Home Mag... was so excited to talk to someone about getting a new front door.. but NOPE!! This company flat out refuses to do business with anyone only buying one door. The worst part... the way they tell you that you are not worth their time-because you only want to replace the front door. It's awful.
So... just ignore their one page ad... no free estimate for people who need a new front door!! Thanks Jayson!!

I had multiple quotes and desert king was more reasonable than most. The sales staff was professional, and honest. I bought what they called renters windows and they are amazing. My patio door has a built in doggie door and it is amazing. The installation was clean, smooth and professional. I paid when job was complete and couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you all so much. Let me start by saying: world class customer service. As a company they are 5 stars! The windows weighed down my review, and I would reorder again.
I had a few vendors come out for quotes and selected Desert King Windows based on their quality and rating with the BBB. They weren't the cheapest and not the most expensive. I had all the windows in my house replaced.

Quality is good
Windows open a lot easier than original ones

Noise level no different than my older single

Let me tell you! These guys are absolute professionals! From Steve, the sales manager to Juan and his crew, they're were above and beyond! My windows were 23 years old and what a change with these new ones! From esthetics to energy efficiency, they're great! Can't beat the lifetime warranty! The windows arrived much earlier than anticipated and initially I was quoted it would take two days to have them installed, but Juan and his guys worked their magic and did it in one day.

The experience with Desert King Windows has been positive from start to finish. Our old windows definitely needed to be replaced. Steve, the sales manager, helped us pick the best windows that fit our wants and budget. Every person we interacted with was professional and friendly.
