Coburn Restoration is a division of Coburn Carpet, Inc. We are a full service 365/24/7 emergency restoration company helping both residential and commercial property owners recover from the damages caused by water, floods, roof leaks, mold and mildew contamination. In addition to our restoration specialty, we are a licensed flooring contractor and sell and install carpet, wood, laminate, vinyl, stone and tile.
Your insurance agent and/or adjuster are the only qualified individuals to answer specific coverage questions. Generally, sudden water losses tend to be covered by many insurance companies. Remember that the policy holder decides whether to file a claim and which contractor to use. Insurance companies cannot decide for you or direct you to use a specific contractor.
As a licensed flooring contractor, we repair and install flooring. Our supplier is RAYO Wholesale Floor Covering Supply (760) 741-1700. They have four locations in San Diego and only deal with contractors, installers and our customers. I found it extremely gratifying that when presented with an opportunity to wildly overcharge the insurance company for our recent fire-related home cleanup, Coburn Restoration charged a fair price for their services, allowing for the emergency nature of the project. Several of our neighbors hit their insurance companies for charges in excess of three times what we paid.

I had an extensive water intrusion issue at my condo and was in need of some professional guidance on the matter as this was something I was very unfamiliar with.
I called Coburn Restorarion after being referred to them by someone who spoke highly of the company. I spoke with Rick Coburn and detailed to him what I thought to the best of my knowledge was going on at my home. We spoke for nearly 45 minutes as he really wanted to nail down what the problem was, but more importantly what the solution would be to fix it.
He gave me specific instructions on the type of work that needed to be done

Rick did a great job cleaning my carpets in our rental. The carpets were heavily soiled and looked terrific after he was done. He was on time and kept me updated on the status of the cleaning job. Rick was easy to work with, explained everything ahead of time. I will definitely use Coburn Restoration again, and would highly recommend them.

Coburn Restoration provided mitigation services to my condo unit twice in less than a year. Each time, they were incredibly responsive, professional, reasonably priced, and provided excellent services. They promptly diagnosed the issue and set up their equipment. We had some mold growing and water intrusion in our home. We called Coburn Restoration and they were able to come right over and inspect the mold and find the source of water damage. For several years I have relied on Coburn Restoration for several things. They did a wonderful job cleaning carpets, but are experts at water damage control.
In one instance, a kid's toy was filled with water, and leaked all over a carpeted stairway. Coburn responded right away, and dried things out quickly.
On another occasion, a hot water heater failed, with lot of water seeping into the walls and carpet of an adjoining bedroom. Again, Coburn quickly responded, mitigated any further damage, got things dried out, and stopped any further problems.

Coburn Restoration was recommended by my realtor after an upstairs condo unit flooded the kitchen of the condo unit I own in Mira Mesa. When I met with Mr. Coburn he was very professional and I expected his workmanship and stewardship of my property to match. During our meeting I explained that I did not reside in the unit, but lived in Orange County approximately 100 miles north of the condo. He reassured me that everything would be put back right. Coburn Restoration provides water damage restoration. Usually, when you have water in your house you do not have time to research YELP. And all you want is help now. But the process is pricey. It includes removing carpet, pad, baseboards, dry wall, a lengthy drying out period with fans and dehumidifiers and treatment for mold. Then it must all be put back. Insurance may cover broken pipes but not always storm damage. This time, I had some wood root in the top plates.
