Tumbleweed Stained Glass Retail and Custom Shop was established in 1995. We are one of the oldest, locally owned and operated Stained Glass Shops in the Valley. Located in Mesa, Arizona and with over 40 years experience, the Shop is owned and operated by Fred and Roseanne Newton. Roseanne began her adventures in Art Glass in 1974.
By 1978, she was working in a full service Art Glass Shop, designing, fabricating, repairing and restoring leaded windows, along with teaching beginning and advanced stained glass classes. Prior to opening their retail shop, Roseanne, along with Fred's help, designed and built hundreds of custom-made stained glass windows at their Studio in Mesa, Arizona.Our work can be found in homes, businesses and places of worship all over the United States with the main focus being in the Southwest.

Home builders in the valley love to utilize unusually placed and odd shaped windows in the homes they build. These are often arches, transoms, arabesque, trapazoids, ovals, landing windows, sky lights, large bathroom windows, and more. Unfortunately often these openings just let the sun and heat into your home or give you a view of your neighbor's roof line or wall.
Since the beginning, Tumbleweed Stained Glass has been beautifying ordinary kitchen cabinets into unique works of art. We work with the most reputable cabinet companies in the Valley. Also, we deal directly with you, the homeowner, to help you achieve a new design idea, whether it be choosing just the right style, texture of glass or designing and building a beautiful leaded glass panel for your cabinet.
Fused glass, otherwise known as warm glass, has been and exciting medium for the professional and hobbyist glass artist alike. More and more folks have been experimenting with this art form. Although you can take a scientific approach with this art form, you can also have tons of fun and create beautiful works easily with very little experience.

I dropped of what should have been a simple repair in April. Never heard anything back about it. I had to go out of town for a family issue, when I got back i called in August. I was told nothing had been done, but it would be completed the followin Tuesday. Now 3 weeks later I went and picked it up. I won't use them again.

So, so rude. My boyfriend and I were just looking for some glass to work on a new project with and were treated like idiots for asking for clarity on some colors. We were pretty desperate for a diamond grinder bit, but even with that desperation we walked away. We understand that with the pandemic there are struggles owners of businesses face, and we weren't upset that we weren't allowed in to browse, just hoped to support local instead of purchasing online. We were, however, incredibly frustrated that the woman who "greeted" us treated us like we never should have been there

I cannot say enough amazing things about them! I have always wanted a stained glass window in every house I lived in and now I can say I do!!!
First of all, from the first day we walked into their shop just to inquire about the process, they were so friendly and informative. Roseanne was so gracious in going through all my "screenshot pictures" to get an idea of what I wanted. She also has an album of their amazing work.
A couple of weeks later she had a sketch for us and helped us pick types of glass for design. I cannot be more happy in the design and artistic choices she made in

Roseanne helped us design sidelights for our front door and her artistic talents were right on. Fred and Mike did a great installation job and we are thrilled with the whole process from design to finish. We had time constraints and they finished really fast before we left town. The whole gang was warm, friendly, and professional and we would recommend them to anyone.

Probably some of the worst customer service. I go in there looking for some glass for a lamp I'm working on and start looking around. I'm looking at some pieces and one of the worker is telling me to stop looking because they don't have other pieces of glass and that's it. So without even nowing what I'm working on she assume it's not going to work. I was fine with it and look at some bigger pieces and ask if some she knew anything similar to what I was looking at and she just said no. I took an idea to the owner, for a window, and we worked on it together for about a month, we finally got a design we both liked and I was ready to get started and her husband came out into the store on my last vist and shouted at me,! and said "she can't do that for the price she quoted you"...I said why...he said "because she's put so much time into the design and it's a lot more detailed now". I told him I designed it and he said, "That doesn't matter, she has to much time invested and it's gonna cost a lot more now". I asked her why

I can't say enough about the team at Tumbleweed. We had a 200lb. Great Dane decide to try to intimidate an Amazon delivery person by standing on his rear paws and smashing our stained-glass front door side window.
While the security camera caught the event in brilliant video (and audio), the horror of the damage to the glass really killed the viral-video moment for us.
Fred, Roseanne and Mike turned an awful situation into a great one by removing the entire panel (no easy feat), taking it back to the shop and returning it in better condition than it was.

I came into this store because I was hoping to have them fix a decorative painted glass I've had for many years. The woman said "oh no honey, that's a cheap Chinese thing you can replace for $20." Well, I bought it for $100 fifteen years ago with a gift certificate from a friend who knew I was furnishing my first house, and I treasured it, no matter its value. Thank you for your kindness.

We had a transom window designed by Roseann and it was installed last week. We picked out the colors and gave her an idea of the geometric type design we wanted and she came up with an absolutely beautiful layout and piece of art. It is remarkable. The installation was also done very professionally. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend her.

After being turned down from custom glass shops throughout the valley, Rose is the only one who took the time to work with me. Great atmosphere, very knowledgeable of what they do, and very helpful. This is the kind of customer service that I'm use to back in the Midwest. I had a round window in a bathroom that needed to be replaced. We decided on a stained glass window. Roseanne was a pleasure to work with and creating a design of what I wanted and then also in the help in picking out the glass which I had no experience in. Fred and his worker Jessie were very efficient in installing the window. I had no idea how this was all going to come together and needless to say I was more than thrilled with the finished product. I have a piece of artwork in my home. I already got a compliment from my neighbors. The project took about 4-6 weeks and it looks stunning. Definitely

My husband and I drove over from North Phoenix to check out this shop as I'm just beginning to learn stain glass (foiling). The owner was extremely helpful, took quite awhile explaining and teaching me some things. We ended up buying a grinder, custom grip cutter and table top foiler! I now have the equipment of experienced people...now continues my joyful challenge to learn! We will be back-worth the drive. I plan to take a class there in the near future! Thanks, Roseanne!!

The panel they made for me is just beautiful. Roseanne walked me thru the design and glass selection process, and the piece is just gorgeous, and coordinates perfectly with the rest of our house. This little shop is busy all the time, with customers commissioning new art, bringing in pieces for repairs, shopping for supplies for their own projects, attending classes, etc. Highly recommended.

Our leaded glass lampshade was squished during a move. We connected with Roseanne at Tumbleweed to help us with the repair. She was very pleasant, professional, down to business and reasonably priced. She estimated that the repair would take about a week, and we were excited to hear from her just two days later that the repair was complete. We're very happy with the quality of the work, and would not hesitate to recommend or return for anything stained glass related.

My husband and I took a beveled window that had been damaged in our move to Arizona to Tumbleweed Stained Glass. We also took a stained glass lamp shade that was broken in a couple of sections. We just picked both up this week. The window was over 100 years old and came out of my grandfather's home - so a very special piece. The thicknesses of the glass were different and because the leading was SO very old it all had to be taken apart and redone. This window looks spectacular! They did such an amazing job! Can't wait to find a perfect place for it in our new home.

We were told about this shop by the makers of our custom doors. The entrance to our estate needed a custom window made to match our unique doors. Their design work was amazing! The windows matched the doors exactly and the quality of the craftsmanship is impeccable. This company is a true family business that has real pride in their work.
