If you can avoid this place it will be the greatest decision you EVER make! This place is an absolute joke. I purchased my used "HONDA CERTIFIED Vehicle" a Honda Pilot and within a few months of purchase I was already having problems with the motor. I would like to add that I am paying about $30,000 for a vehicle that is giving me more problems than I have ever had with a car. Long story short they had to replace the torque converter (transmission related issue) which was about a $3,000 job luckily for me it was included in the warranty however they had to squeeze money out of me somehow

It’s been about a week since I purchased my car from Route 23 Honda and I couldn’t be happier!!! I visited so many dealerships prior to coming here, but my patience paid off!!! Junior took such great care of me! From the first smile and handshake when I walked in the door, to the last smile and handshake, after he gave me my keys, I WAS A HAPPY CAMPER! I cannot say I am surprised at all the negative, 1 star reviews for this dealership. All I have to say is WOW. My boyfriend is searching for a used reliable car, nothing crazy expensive just something to get from point A to point B for now without it breaking down in a year. We popped into this dealership as we are new to the area and thought it would be a good idea. WRONG.

This review is for the service center. Its unfortunate that I cannot get help with an issue that they caused during a routine oil change.
I just got a call from Rudy the service manager and he was appalled at the way my complaint was handled. I am aware that many businesses are having a difficult time with lack of employees or poor employees. I was pleasantly surprised with the follow up treatment.
The employee Derek that was helping me was extremely polite and professional.

We all know what kind of people work at car dealerships, and Rout 23 Honda is no different. My wife found a preowned car online and entered her information showing interest in it. The next morning, for some reason they called my phone to follow up, since we have bought several cars from them over the years, I assume they looked up our name and called the number on file. 1 star for service. They give you lifetime free oil changes when you purchase the car through them. What they don't tell you is that your free oil change takes 2-3 hours. The staff when you check in is very unprofessional. One girl was on a personal call on her cell phone and the other simply ignored the fact I was standing there waiting to be helped. After a few minutes the one on her personal call asked the other girl if she could help someone. Obviously annoyed that she had to work while the other girl chatted with friends she was very unfriendly. Insisted I didn't have an appointment

Nothing but a bunch of CROOKS!!! Manager negotiated with me on price, we settled on a price and shook hands. When it came to signing the documents, something didn't feel right, I asked to look at the paperwork detailing all the numbers, (which the finance guy didn't even print out), he showed me on his cpu...and they added $60 more to my monthly payments. When I insisted on speaking to the manager again, this man lied to my face and said our original price that we agreed upon was conditional and that it was based on me putting an additional $2500 down, which was NEVER mentioned nor discussed

I wasn't going to write a review but I felt it may be a good idea so other people know what can happen to them or worse. In summary, all four tires were inflated to 30psi, the front two should have been 32-33psi, I paid to have both filters replaced, I was charged but they weren't replaced. The fuel pump had a recall and they replaced the wrong part. Luckily that error was caught before I left. Something is not right with rt 23 service. Worst dealership i ever been to the customer service was decent but the sale manager is a straight up liar. People please stay away from this dealership. I put a deposit down for a car. The finance person person give me a outrageous apr so i went to White Plains Honda and bought the same car for $4000 less and same mileage with a warranty. Then i went back to route 23 for a refund of my deposit and it been 2 weeks and no sign of my refund. Dont spend your money SMH during and COVID _19 pandemic tieing up customer funds terrible

I went to help my brother-in-law and nephew lease two cars on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The dealership was packed. Gary Cohen had his sales manager Hector and his sales rep Joe F show us several cars in different colors and specs. We decided to go with the 2021 Honda Pilot SE and a 2020 Honda Accord. The customer ( me ) states the fcw ( front collision warning ) light is coming on the dash and that the fcw light will come on while driving. So when I was driving, the car would start to act up. the car would shut off, turn back on, and so forth. The diagnostic ($135.00+tax). they confirmed that it was an issue. I had to ask if I could have a loaner so I could go to work with, and it took a lot, but they finally gave me a loaner.

I had been a long time customer of Route 23 Honda and sad to say that's not the case anymore. I leased a vehicle from them in June of 2020 and it took them 2 months to finalize the paperwork for funding of the lease. I kept getting excuse after excuse on why there was a delay. Also I am 2.5 months without registration or plates of which I am still waiting on. This isn't how you do business. The transaction was as normal as it could be, negotiate price, agree on price sit around for awhile to confirm paper work and financing, sign papers make payments, walk away.

If you buy a car from here you usually get free oil changes. And since my 2018 Honda Accord is from here I get free oil changes.
It's worth the trip from Jersey City and I want to thank Route 23 Honda for a great service and maintenance department. I been here a few times and everyone here is so nice. The service is amazing. Gina was my Costomer service person and she was the best. She apologized for taking a little over the limit for an oil change and that went a long way. She even got the car washed which was another plus. Quality service all the time here
