I've always loved the outdoors. My career working with trees started here in northern Virginia in 1978 when I began working with Forman & Biller Tree Expert Co., in Arlington, as a groundsman and climber. They were one of the oldest established tree services in northern VA, having been in business since 1920.

The Donegan crew arrived promptly at 8am ready to get the job done. They were very professional and all 3 employees went right to work. They did an amazing job with some difficult requests for trimming a big Pin Oak and Willow away from our house. Cleaned up all the debris and ensured we were satisfied with the work. A really good experience. We had many trees pruned and several removed over a number of acres. Jim took a good deal of time diagnosing each tree and recommending the best course of action for each. It only takes a couple of minutes to know that Jim has a great deal of expertise, and comes at the site with the intention of conserving trees that can be improved, and only removing them when they are beyond hope. The crew arrived on time and with an impressive array of equipment that made the job run safely and efficiently. After the work was completed the crew took special care to clean the job site

I called them because they already had a bunch of great reviews! They trimmed a tree that was hanging over from my neighbors property. They were organized, quick, and thorough. The worker even asked me, while he was trimming, to point out if I wanted another branch cut. They were awesome, and all for a great price! They trimmed the tree, collected everything, and cleaned up the debris left over. All I had to do was put back a few yard decorations/lights they had moved so they wouldnt get damaged. We used Donegan's Tree Service to remove a cherry tree in our front yard that was tearing up our driveway, and also to perform a crown cleaning on a large birch tree in our back yard.
From start to finish, it was a great experience. Each person I dealt with, whether it was via email, over the phone, or in person, was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.

I was quite pleased with the work done by Donegan’s team yesterday. Their staff was friendly and answered all of my (many) questions. A 4-vehicle crew showed up right on time and did a fantastic job in just about an hour for a price that was much better than several other quotes I received. I have two large oak trees in the front that needed crown cleaning and their bucket crew was quick, safe and efficient. My evergreens out back also needed to be trimmed plus a stump was ground down in my front yard. The team was diligent with cleaning up all debris from the work as well. If I need further

Donegan’s Tree Service has a excellent and professional crew. They arrived on time with state-of-the-art equipment that allowed them to efficiently complete the trimming of many mature oaks and pines on my property.
The price for the job was reasonable and they cleaned up the yard thoroughly. I was particularly impressed with the pads they placed on the grass to prevent any damage to my lawn.
