Carpets are regarded as the ultimate in luxury flooring. They are soft underfoot and give home a high sense of coziness. Knowing the different types of carpet is essential in choosing the right quality suitable for different spaces and rooms in your house. There are many types of carpets, such as berber, plush, texture, patterns, velvet, frieze, cut & loops, multi colors and more.
The cut & loop pile combines the two types of fibers which provides a variety of surface textures. These types of carpets are available in solid or multi colors. Cut & loop carpets tend to hide dirt and footprints in both formal and informal areas. These carpets are available in nylon, polyster and olefin.
Ceramic tiles are available in glazed and unglazed. Glazed ceramic tiles have a surface that provides color, design and ease of maintenance. Light colored glazed tiles tend to be stronger than dark ones. Glazed tiles are more resistant to stains. Glazed tile surfaces are non porous, but the body can still absorb moisture.
Pecan heartwood is reddish brown with dark brown stripes and sapwood is white or creamy white with pinkish tones. Hickory heartwood is tan or reddish and sapwood is white to cream, with fine brown lines. Pecan grain is open, occasionally wavy or irregular. Hickory grain is closed, with moderate definition, somewhat rough-textured.

My experience with this company is really awful. They delayed the beginning of the job, did not store the hardwood at room temperature for 72 hours, did not lay a water barrier and as a result, all of the hardwood floor became cupped (warped) during the summer. The company does not return phone calls and does not want to honor their warranty obligations (12 months).
Stay away from this company.
