After all they are not "My Great Movers" !!!!!
I usually do not write any reviews neither positive or negative; but reflecting at the end of the day, I felt I was humiliated by their attitude and their passive aggressive attitude during the move and I felt I was paying $380 dollars for them to torture me and be yelled at and given bad rude treatment as a customer. They ruined my day and I decided to stop my move and did not finish it. My daughter hired them the rest of the day to move her furniture. I used these guys last-minute. That is why they get one star - they showed up on time. They did not disclose their rate ahead of time.
Two men showed up and I only needed their labor - they did not bring packing materials, they worked at a snail's pace, and they do not have insurance. I have a broken lamp, a damaged custom table, and I packed most of my apartment myself.
They took almost 3.15 hours (charged me for 3.5) to move a one-bedroom apartment with a king-sized bed, one sectional, one kitchen table, some artwork, and everything else boxed up. My father and I helped the entire time

Received an email about an hour into the move that I had non standard items. A peloton bike, a king sized beauty rest mattress, and two lazy boy couches. They also specified weights but I then told them not to move the two (2) dumbbells as I would move them if it was a big deal. At no time did the movers communicate any of this directly to me, I had to check my email - it was very bizarre given I was present and available to the movers. Also I was not told what the upcharge would be because of these "non standard items" just that there would be one.

Spent 6.5 hours moving a 550sq feet apartment, which should be a 3 hour max moving job with professional mover using right tools and skills. We are talking about 30 boxes, 1 bed set, 2 desks and that's it. unprofessional and deceiving. One will hide somewhere to play on his phone if you don't go get him after removing stuff from the apt. The other obviously doesn't know what to do and caught him restocking boxes in the truck and doing other useless work. They will move boxes one by one to the truck instead of using a tool to get 4,5 boxes together to the truck? and then spent

I requested quotes from a few companies to move a few pieces of furniture and mattresses (not a whole house), and many companies required 3 hour minimum. My Great Movers required 2 hours but higher hourly rates ($99 vs $120). I really didn't think I needed more than 2 hours, but ended up using 2.5 hours and paid $300. So, I did end up paying the same price as the 3 hour minimum company for 2.5 hours of work. I guess I underestimated how long it would take to move.

Response: Messaged My Great Movers this morning when we last minute needed some help getting large furniture up stairs to a two story apartment. Adam was quick to reply and very accommodating; since I only needed help unloading I requested for just an hour of help and he was able to do so. (Some moving companies require a two hour minimum) He also checked in after the move to make sure everything went okay.

They do a great job for the discounted quotes compared to the other companies!
If you hire them please make sure that you pay them in full and don't snake these amazing and helpful guys. They do any job at the highest level even after many ungrateful costumers have refused to pay the quotes that where agreed upon.
They are some of the best movers I have ever met. Show some appreciation by doing the right thing and hiring respectable and hard working individuals that are worth every dollar quoted!

First off, I am writing this review because the company tried to discredit my wife's review because she was not present for the move. I am the person who was present for the move. When they acknowledge the inaccuracies in their response to my wife's review, I will delete her review. Multiple inaccuracies are present in his response as he said he offered 2 hours to come out to fix the poor packing, when he actually offered only 1 hour (we have this in email), he claimed that we did not have tie downs, when we had at least 12, plus bungee cables and moving blankets. I needed to move within 24 hours and these guys were not only available but had such a good rating on yelp too - lucky me! They were on time, professional, and answered all of my many questions. Adam and John made sure all of my furniture was delicately handled and even helped me carry down the empty boxes when they were done. Highly, highly recommend these guys!!

These guys were great as they worked within our schedule and had the best deal I could find. There were on time and wrapped our dresser, bed, and bookshelf in a protective plastic wrap so our things wouldn't get scratched. My old place was pretty small so I didn't have many things however they were efficient with their time and were friendly as well.

I used My Great Movers this past weekend to help me move from the Portola to the Mission. They were quick, efficient, and most importantly, inexpensive. I received a couple of quotes from moving companies around SF, and My Great Movers charged me half of what the other places were asking for. On top of that, they had me moved in to my two bedroom quicker than it took the AT&T tech to install our internet.
In short, quick, professional, efficient, and cost effective. I'll definitely be using this company if I need to move in the future.

Awesome!! We had a small job moving a few items from storage to our apartment and from the initial quote to the actual appointment they were on it. They responded quickly, showed up on time and were super professional. A pleasure to deal with, no shady BS like we experienced with other movers, and came in under the estimate!! I didn't even ask for the cost because I was escaping a domestic violence situation. There were 4 sheriffs at the house and they wouldn't let me tell the movers what to do for almost an hour while I was crying and being questioned. The guys were awesome through all of this. Because of the tenuous situation and late hour, I had to let the County Animal shelter take my dogs. The police wanted me to see a doctor to ensure I was ok.

Stay away. We moved with my great movers from Mountain view to San Mateo and had a terrible experience. To start with they were late and overall inefficient. But the worst is they assembled our one year old king bed all wrong (pics attached) and put a heavy mattress on it. The mattress went down in the middle of the night causing me. We moved on Saturday July 18th and this happened on July 18th night. When we called them on Sunday morning, they scheduled an "investigation".
