I did all my research beforehand, and Alltech was the logical conclusion. I would recommend them to anyone considering going solar. Coordination between Alltech and the credit union was almost seamless. Cash or finance, total system price is the same. (So stay away from solar installers when you see that the total system price is higher on financing. It should be the same for cash or finance.)
The entire process was smooth from start to finish. My salesperson Julian kept me in the loop and set the proper expectations.

I found Julian while I was researching solar panels for my parent's home in Hawaii. His YouTube video showed the depth of his understanding in the intricacies in solar panels. Ken was upfront, never pushy, gave honest evaluations, knew his products and services, and did not try and sell me but let the facts speak for themselves. And, he offered a great system, Panasonic, with a full and complete 25 year warranty including parts and installation on everything and he was the lowest price by thousands. Lastly, he offered to put in the exact same system another solar company gave me the plans and cost for and gave me, in writing, his company's promise to do it for thousands of dollars less than his competitor. What more needs to be said?

I did a comparison of the highest rated solar companies on Yelp in SanDiego and selected Alltech Solar. The salesperson Julian was incrediably responsive and provided us with the best deal. The installation went effortlessly. Chase was the installation manager and got the job done on time without any problems. It only took one day for the installaltion! My search for a reputable, honest and fair priced solar company took a little over two months of interviews and presentations. Finally I narrowed it down to the top three companies I felt would do the job properly. All of the equipment was the same so I could compare equally what the products were that were going to be used. I spent a few weeks researching solar and am so glad I chose Alltech for my installation. Not only do they have the best workmanship warranty in the business they also sell some of the best panels with the lowest degradation of any other company I spoke with.

After getting bids from 5 other companies, we ultimately chose Alltech for their transparency, reputation, and quick turnaround time. We were able to get our 14 panel system up and running in about 2 months from the time we signed the contract! For us, the roof work took about 3 days and solar installation was 1 day. The end-to-end experience was smooth.
Ken, Chase, and Pam made the process very easy and communication was good throughout. I also appreciated Ken's patience in answering all of our questions and taking the time to drop by and meet in person when installation was happening.

Alltech is awesome! When I wasn't getting the SDG&E savings that I had been expecting from my solar panels, I thought maybe they needed a maintenance check. I looked on Yelp and Alltech by far stood out as a reliable company with its multiple 5-star reviews.
Chase came out to do a system check on my array (which had been installed by a different company) and he was horrified to find that the reason my electric bill was still so high was that the other installation company had never switched on my panels!!!!! I honestly think he was more upset than I was about it.

From the initial contact through Yelp (which led to a virtual meeting with Julian), through solar installation, this has been a very pleasant experience. I contacted several solar companies and received quotes for different solar panel options. I did my own research into the different options, but also consulted Julian with several questions. I had a 14 panel system installed in August 2020, so far it is been working perfectly. Installation was very smooth. Chase and Ken are great to work with, I highly recommend this company and got a great price on the system and was able to save a lot of money after researching about 10 other solar companies, these guys win!

I'd been looking to get rooftop solar for years but since my electric bill typically wasn't that high it never made sense. With prices coming down and the federal tax credit going to expire after 2021, I looked into it once more.
After evaluating four installers and rather quickly dropping two from the list, it came down to Alltech Solar and another. Ultimately I picked Alltech and was quite happy with the experience.

I can’t understand where the less than 5 star ratings are coming from. I have been using AllTech Solar for the past 7 years and have experienced nothing but the best, most responsive and professional service from any Solar company I have worked with in 10 years. The market for solar has had many companies start up and disappear within a couple of years and leaving the consumer with little to no recourse for service on their installed system. I was one of these consumers, and tried a few companies throughout San Diego, that proved to be unresponsive, unreliable, and practiced somewhat questionable

What's not to like here? Alltech is the best. We contacted Alltech late last year after getting several other quotes. Alltech were the only ones who actually bothered to get up on my roof to get measurements (we also needed to get our roof replaced). While other solar companies sent sales people that alarmingly could not answer basic technical questions or pushed roof materials and extra panels we did not need, Ken and Chase know their stuff and only offered bids that fit our actual power usage. Out of all the quotes we got, Alltech was the most competitive with the best value.

Chase was working at my neighbors house and went out of his way to help us put a chimney cover on the top of our chimney, he climbed up on our roof and installed it for us, then he wouldn't take any money and said it was the neighborly thing to do. If I didn't already have solar panels I definitely would have done business with a company like this.
