Had a great experience at City Lights looking for a vanity light fixture. Henry took the time to show me multiple options, discussed the pros and cons of each fixture and we ultimately landed on one to order. I bought 2 light fixtures here years ago. Both with Elements Swarovski crystals. I ❤ my chandeliers. My sales lady was helpful & patient as it took me months to make my decision, & my electrician, the sales lady, & I had many discussions about the vaulted ceiling in my dining room & how to hang the new chandelier.

DO NOT SHOP HERE unless you know exactly what you want and are clairvoyant. Customer service is non existent, even with a sales person at your side. None of he fixtures have prices and when I asked why, I was told so I couldn't look up the item online and order them. REALLY - in 2021! When I asked if an item came in a different finish the sales person left and I had to go look for him. He was searching on Google, not an internal database, telling me he would have to call the manufacturer to see if they still made the fixture. Several items displayed that I inquired about on were discontinued

My quest to buy recessed lights has been very confusing and information across the Internet, electricians and stores has been incomplete and contradicting. When I reviewed my needs with Robert Munzer over the phone he listened carefully and answered my questions clearly. They have a beautiful showroom and their staff are efficient and friendly.
They have helped me with repairs on our kitchen sconces and couldn't be happier.
This is the spot I will go to when I replace the lighting in my home. Great selection with various styles to appeal to everyone's tastes. Parking lot ( free to park) next to the building across the street.

Love this lighting showroom! I have visited it several times for various projects and love how I can view the fixtures in person to get a better idea of scale and feel. Everyone is super nice and you are greeted by the receptionist- all smiles and very friendly. Plus everyone had been super knowledgeable. I highly recommend this lighting showroom.

Tried to buy some of your merchandise after hearing your music during the virtual pub crawl in lockdown but I couldn’t find anything just lamps and soft furnishings...imagine my disappointment...I think your missing a trick here lads?..you will never play Wembley stadium if you don’t get your name out there...I think maybe a change in management is needed... City Lights has been around for over 40 years and it has a diverse lighting selection and very knowledgeable lighting professionals on staff to help customers. Robert Munzer was invaluable in guiding us to a light fixture for over our dining room table. In addition, he made suggestions about how low to hang the light. We were in the midst of a kitchen/dining area remodel and he also made suggestions on where to place ceiling lights in the dining room since we wanted to add additional lights.
Our order was delivered on time and we appreciated having the option to pick up the fixture ourselves

I had been to many places all over San Francisco searching intensively for the right lamp and VOILA !
Henry was the sales person who I own all of this... He helped me and walked me to the right lamp in the show room, it only took 5 minuites and I was in front of the right piece that I was searching for more than a month..... He listened what I was looking for, it was almost like He knows on top of his head where is the right piece in the entire store. My mouth droped immediately when I saw the right lamp!!..

These guys and gals are pro's! They know lighting. They're a specialty lighting store that can help you solve many problems. Not the cheapest, but they supply and rep very high quality products, their consultants can help you find solutions in several price ranges. I used Katie Twomey, Sales Associate - I'm a home owner and helping a friend manage a small 2-unit that needed serious lighting upgrades/updates. She helped me find an affordable Tech Lighting solution that worked great. And she helped my electrician contractor/installer find a workaround that saved extra parts and expense

Ryan has been my go-to guy while I have been working on a remodel that required lights in every room - you name it I needed help with it. (Including a system to control our lights remotely from our phones when we are out of town.) Smaller store than I had hoped so not as much on display as I was looking for. Service was not quite up to my expectations either. They carry some more expensive and high end brands if you are looking for those. The salesman at the end did tell me he could get me discounts which made the prices more reasonable. But we ended up choosing different lights at another store.

Do NOT go to this store. I would highly recommend finding another light store. I have been into City Lights multiple times to ask questions about Lumens and Kelvin to gain a better understanding of the new LED lights. Every time I go into the store they are complete snobs, do not ever say hi, act like I do not exist and I am bothering their busy day. The last two times I went in I was treated like an absolute idiot when I was trying to get my head around the different Temperatures of LED (2700 kelvin->6500 kelvin). Listen, I get that Amazon is a huge competitor - however when I can buy 3 bulbs at the cost of one of yours....that's an issue. Luckily I live close enough that I just had to walk here so the amount of time I lost was minimal- shrug - I can't buy local if you are just tripling the cost of everything :(

Lousy customer service. I phoned a few days ago and asked for help from Xavier. He was helpful on the phone and said he would follow up via email. 48hrs passed without contact so I dropped by in person. He was flagrantly uninterested in helping solve my problem and made it seem like he simply didn’t care. How sad.

Great place to check out the latest in lighting trends, especially if you're taking a remodel down to the studs. I've purchased lighting here a few years back, when I was doing just that, and had no problems. Just recently started returning to get more ideas for more recent remodels. Spent an hour here the other day in search of lightning, and found the glass bubbles I'm going to use over our dining table. (See photo).
