I called three companies to bid on Central A/C for my home in Long Beach. The first company never gave me a quote. The second company was SouthWest, and the third was another local business. From the onset, their customer service was excellent. Oscar, the rep who serviced our home on the first visit was on time, very clear in his information and extremely good at following up with a phone call the week after giving us the bid.
My decision to go with Angel, Luis, and their team for our initial central AC installation has been very rewarding. They are knowledgeable, professional, and courteously answered my many questions BEFORE I made my decision to choose Southwest. They also presented options in their proposal along with their recommendations.
I've had them work on a repair on my old AC unit. This summer I needed to have it replaced. Julio, Danny and their team were great. After getting several bids, they came in with the fairest price. Their crew is very prompt, careful and clean. They explained the process and recommendations of what would work best.
I bought an old house and went with Southwest HVAC to update it from the old floor/wall heaters to central heat/air. Right off the bat Southwest gave me the best customer service experience by far out of the companies I had in to quote the job. They were priced competitively. They offer the option of Trane equipment which has very high ratings in Consumer Reports.
When my old HVAC unit died, I searched the web and found Southwest HVAC in Long Beach. Their project manager, Angel Meza came out the same day and providied me a quote. His quote was in line with others I received, yet the cost also included mandatory HERS testing a pulling permits from the city (which the other quote I had did not include).

The technician that came out was courteous and spent a great deal of time trying to repair the unit. Due to the age of the unit a band aid fix would have resulted in another fix down the road. Luis gave me a competitive quote for a Daikin unit, it wasn't the cheapest, but he gave me peace of mind that he was going to do everything in his power to make sure I was satisfied.

After many negative experiences with contractors over the years, I am still pleasantly surprised how amazing EVERY STEP went with the team at Southwest HVAC. I am loving my mini-split system and how amazingly quiet & warm the heat has been. Can't wait to try the AC during the warmer weather. I had waited over a month for my initial contractor to get back to me regarding repairing my unit because I was only getting cold air when turning on the heat. I felt forced to wait because the unit is covered under warranty with my initial contractor, but after being ghosted for over a month I decided to get a second opinion and I'm truly grateful that I did.
Fabian was prompt, respectful and did a great job by diagnosing my unit quickly and fixing it right away. As a bonus he is also a dog whisperer

Our AC install was flawless and the service was perfect. I came back to write this review because we were offered a very extended warranty and when we thought we were having issues with our unit, we called to have someone come over. When I spoke to someone on the phone they said if this was an issue with the unit it would be free service but if it was an issue with, say, our thermostat, it would cost $99. They sent someone out immediately the same day. As it turned out it was an issue with the outlet the unit was plugged into. So we were charged $195. This was unexpected - over the phone

Simply they know HVAC. Additionally, their product and service are reasonably priced and stand behind their work. I had them install an airconditioner for me at my Long Beach condo. It was a difficult location (top of the roof on a 4-story building) to install the unit, but they took all necessary precautions and when they left, it worked… perfectly. Additionally, they stand behind their product and service. After 3 years I had to call them for service and the product manager even remembered my name and honored the warranty. No doubt about it! If you want the best you have to go with the best! Tommy and the installation crew are definitely good at what they do!! It was our first time dealing with an AC Unit purchase and had so many questions Tommy was able to explain and answer. Tommy will help you get the best unit for your house. Called because they were in another unit in my complex and figured they'd know how to fix my problem. Scheduling was easy and on day of got a text with arrival window. Gio came over at the beginning of his window and diagnosed the problem right away. I had water leaking inside the house from the inside ceiling unit. He found the drain in the bathroom disconnected it and found it was blocked. Unblocked and water cane out. Haven't gad any issues since. Would recommend

We're first-time home buyers and needed an HVAC specialist on short notice. We're glad that Southwest HVAC was able to accommodate! Tommy inspected the property and informed us that the current HVAC unit was on its way out. On top of that, the freon and its components have been phased out which means that repairing it is not an option. He also explained to us several reasons why the current build was not up-to-code and suggested options to fix it which would also help prolong the lifetime of the new unit.

Our 4 ton central A/C unit started blowing hot air one day. We had another company (Advantage Air) come out and they quickly said that we needed a new compressor for $3,500. Southwest HVAC then came out and performed a much more thorough and informed analysis and determined that all we needed was a new capacitor for $300, and now everything works perfectly!

Southwest HVAC did a great job with installing our Daikin ductless home mini splits. Luis, our project manager, did a great job explaining the step by step process of installation and everything required during the installation. How we felt that Southwest HVAC went above and beyond was that they went ahead and pulled permits with the city and diagramed with the city where the condenser would stand BEFORE we even told them we would contract with them. We bought a brand new home and the HVAC system was installed by Southwest HVAC. We found out soon after we bought the home that the wiring for the vents was crossed and the wrong vents were opened for the zone we wanted on, which wasted money for us with unnecessary AC being used. Basically if the AC was turned on upstairs, you felt that air coming out of the vents downstairs in a different zone that is turned off. My new home has a Southwest installed HVAC system installed. Therefor, all warranty repairs must go through them or you will void your warranty.
First - The main gas line into the furnace was leaking gas into the home vents. The Gas Co. Red tagged the furnace. After waiting months after submitting the warranty repair through the home builder, I had to contact Southwest directly as no one had contacted me. A technician repaired the leak. The Gas Co. repairmen told me the assembly of gas pipe leading into the furnace needs to be removed and reinstalled to properly tighten the fixers. After the repair
