Don't be fooled by other people and locksmiths telling you "You have to take it to the dealer" NOT TRUE! We can make and program keys for almost every car on the road today. Most new car dealers have people fooled by telling them they're the only place you can get keys for the new cars and trucks. Not even the dealers programmer can rewrite a new SKIM number in a computer or find the correct SKIM number if yours is invalid.
These transponder keys may also have the keyless entry remote function built in as well. In this case you will need the transponder and the remote function programmed to the computer of your vehicle. If you buy an automobile with the transponder embedded in the key, then make sure you demand what ever amount of keys you would like.
Leave your outside lights on at night. If your neighborhood is dimly lit, ask your municipal authorities to add streetlights or replace existing bulbs with ones of higher wattage. Leave a light on inside the house and leave the blinds partially opened. Moving silhouettes could alert a neighbor or passer-by that an intruder has entered your home.

I have been using Upstate Locksmiths for years. Jay is always very prompt, professional and courteous. He recently helped me get a key produced for a family member that lost their car key. I’m a local mechanic in Harris ny and I have been using upstate locksmith for years and just recently I had my car key in my pocket of my 2017 rav4 and went dirt bike riding and it must have come out somewhere. The next day I called jay and he got back to me in no time I told him what happened and he said no problem I’ll take care of ya. He asked me where the car was located about an hour later he called me and said ur all set I’ll drop the keys to ya, man what a life saver have u ever lost ur woman’s key to her car thank god for upstate (She wasn’t that mad).
