PFO Heating & Air Conditioning started out as a family owned and operated business in 1942 named Princeton Fuel Oil. The company started as a coal and heating oil provider. During this time Princeton Fuel expanded its service area from Princeton to include the surrounding counties. In the early 1960's when Central Air Conditioning first became available, Princeton Fuel Oil was the first to offer this new technology for Residential homes.
During the early 1970's the company added additional services of delivering gasoline and diesel fuel to the local area farms and commercial businesses. Princeton Fuel Oil is now known as PFO Heating & Air Conditioning largely due to the expansion of the business into providing indoor home comfort solutions to our customers.
With advancements in technology, PFO was able to add heat pumps and super high efficiency systems with variable speed technology. As the world became more environmentally friendly we were the first in the area to introduce environmentally safe refrigerants to our customers.

Quick and professional response to my request for service- thankfully same day!! My baseboard heater wasn’t heating due to an air lock in the pipes. We had no heat in the whole upstairs! Ron, the heating specialist called prior to arriving at my home, on time. He quickly went to work and had my system fixed in no time. Ron and Princeton Fuel are professional, knowledgeable, polite, conscientious, and expeditious. The only company I will ever call for all my heating and cooling needs. Mr Rainey, I am a new customer in a new house. Your salesman Al van XYZ wrote up the service and delivery contract. Subsequently, three successive mistakes/oversights have been made by PFO in two months. 1) Delivery of oil was immediate, but billing office failed to honor the price offered in your promotion literature. They added 0.50cents/gal. 2) I requested from your salesman Al van XYZ in person during his sales visit that that the annual maintenance cleaning of the HVAC be done before the heating season. We are many weeks into the heating season and no contact from PFO maint dept. 3) I called

Jeff was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He explained what I wanted to know, and worked diligently the entire time he was here. We highly recommend PFO! The sales staff is very knowledgeable and they helped us make our decision to install a ductless A/C (and heating) system easy. The work was done on time, professionally, and with great care. Everyone was friendly and courteous. If you're considering a ductless heating and A/C system, or any other system, go with PFO. The technician was on time, very polite, very knowledgeable. He asked questions about our system and tested the outside unit. He said it was important to test the inside unit too so we went into the house where he found several design problems: the coils were inaccessible, and the condensation was routed to a drain that was totally plugged. So he rerouted the condensation drain to a safe area (thank you!). It was clear from his comments that if we can ever access the coils it would be good to clean them.
