WCPC specializes in seismic retrofit design, engineering and construction of soft-story apartment buildings as well as seismic retrofit design and construction of unreinforced masonry (URM), non-ductile concrete, tilt up, and historic landmark buildings.We also provide full engineering and construction services on building projects requiring new construction, major remodeling, repairs or additions.

We have retrofitted over 250 soft story buildings (construction completed and signed off by the City).

I would like to give West Coast Premier Construction (WCPC) 5+ Stars, if I could go higher I would. Dealing with Homy, Fred and Jason at WCPC was a pleasure. They are professional,
prompt in answering any concerns and questions I had.
Prior to hiring WCPC I had another engineering company, who not only over designed some of the earthquake retrofitting for my building but omitted other items that needed to be addressed. There were constant revisions on missed items that I found on their plans. It was hard to get a hold of them with my concerns.

I had a very positive experience working with this company to perform a seismic retrofit at a property I manage. Homy was very organized and professional at the initial meeting with my clients. He presented pictures and thoroughly explained the process. Everything went smoothly from the engineering plans, to getting the permits and city approvals, construction execution, costs, etc. and project sign off. They have completed 3 large soft story retrofit jobs for me. There were no problems and I was very happy with them at each job. The jobs were done much faster than other contractors i have used for similar projects. Overall, absolutely no hassle during the jobs which is very important.

I've worked with him on two major earthquake retrofit projects for soft-story apartments--one in Alameda and the other in Millbrae--and he could not be a more excellent engineer and contractor. West Coast Premier Construction did an exceptional, quick and smooth job on the city-mandated seismic retrofit of an older building I own in San Francisco's Mission District.
Everything was done so smoothly and professionally ~ from the initial contacts with the City Departments and planning to the final inspections and 'sign off'. When there were issues that needed handling, they were dealt with quickly and successfully.

This company has total disregard for the agreements they make. They had agreed to work (seismic retrofitting) on an occupied apartment building ONLY from 8am to 5pm, as to disrupt the tenants as little as possible. However, after a few weeks, their crews were starting at 7am, hammering, and running skill saws, disrupting the entire neighborhood. We DON'T need unethical Contractors like this working here in San Francisco!
