I can't say enough good things about this shop! Today I spent 3 hours at Ford for Them to tell me they wouldn't be able to make my key! Told me to try Durans lock and key. When I got there The brother of the owner was very nice. Told me his brother was on a call but called to see how long he would be. I decided to wait since it had already been a long day trying to get the additional key. When he got there, he made my key in about 10 minutes and programmed it to my car. Not only was he fast and super nice and friendly but he was way more affordable than Ford. I will tell everyone how

Very professional, I got a new key fob for a 2016 Nissan Altima push start car. I got there last minute around 5pm before closing and service was very fast and service was excellent. I’ll definitely do business with him again.

Albert is super friendly and provides excellent customer service at very reasonable prices. His location is a little off the beaten path but the service outweighs the rustic surroundings. I highly recommend Duran's Lock and Key over anyone else. I had 2 key fobs for a push to start programmed and he had it done within 20 minutes.

Very nice gentleman re-keyed a new door lock I installed on my Honda Civic, to match my original ignition key. He was super knowledgeable in explaining everything to me, and did it fairly quickly and for the best price around. I'll definitely be returning next time I need a locksmith.

I moved into a new house in the La Quinta Cove, and wanted all the doors rekeyed. Their quote for the service call was super reasonable and their charge for each lock was excellent. Mr. Duran also gave me some excellent advice about how to most efficiently set it up.

Albert Duran (owner/operator) was extremely helpful and personable. I had several issues to overcome and he did just that, returning access to my car & making two master keys at the same time! I highly recommend this local merchant for his mobile service as well!

Nothing but positive experiences with Duran, valley lock and safe used to be my go to but with astounding rates and excellent results I have opted to turn to this business for all my Smart key programming and key cutting services. With swift lockout response times and willingness to try when everyone else says it can't be done why would you go elsewhere.

I had one locksmith come out to the house and say my lock couldn't be picked. I brought the lock to another locksmith who said it couldn't be picked. I was referred to Duran's to drill my lock out and replace it. He showed up about 30 minutes after my call, and through trial and error made a working key and opened the lock without damaging it. He will be my first call from now on and I'll be handing his business card out to friends after the excellent service I got.

Just bought a car and didn't notice the key didn't unlock the doors or trunk. I was sure it was going to cost an arm and a leg but thank God my body shop guy referred me to Albert..I drove to his location in Coachella because I wanted it done right away... Albert was contacted by another locksmith who could not accommodate my emergency at the time I called. He came all the way to Palm Desert and provided efficient, courteous service. Highly recommend.

These guys show up when they say they will. They are friendly and just want to help out. They were so helpful the first time, I saved their number in my phone, and called them back a second time because I was having trouble with my front door. They did not charge me their usual fee because they had already done some work on that lock for me. Only for the part they replaced. Would be very comfortable calling them again if I need any more work done in the future.

I called Albert last night as my son's key for his 1993 Toyota pickup had broken off in the ignition. Albert came right out and within 30 minutes had the broken piece out and had crafted a new key from the 2 pieces. He is a Master locksmith! We didn't think it could be done. Thank you so much Albert. Albert is a true professional. I needed new locks and new keys for my new home in La Quinta and Albert found the time to fit me into his busy schedule. He was courteous, and kind. He took the time to explain certain locks and keys, great customer service and friendliness. His truck is equipped with all the right equipment to make the job done right on the spot. He also referred me to a garage service man to fix my broken garage doors.
