Services
Since 1996, Copper Instincts has built a reputation for high-quality, custom-made copper furniture delivered with exceptional customer service. How did an American geologist end up pioneering the high-end copper furniture industry in Mexico? It started with a 1982 road trip. Raised in Texas, Fred Snyder worked closely with Mexican laborers on farms and ranches and found he had a knack for Spanish.
We fire rich colors directly into the copper to allow the healing of stains and scratches. Our hammering is optimized, which is critical in terms of how the copper wears over time with use. We use old-world craftsmanship to hammer and form copper using methods developed centuries before the Spanish conquerors arrived in Mexico.
Copper Instincts exclusively sells to wholesale clients (furniture stores, interior design and hospitality professionals, etc.). Request a catalog and contact us to learn more about our products and prices. Larger orders qualify for free international shipping and discounted pricing. Although we don't currently sell pieces directly to individuals, we're happy to connect you with the closest Copper Instincts distributor.
At Copper Instincts, we seal all of our copper with clear paste wax (copper should never be sealed with lacquer). To preserve the finish and to keep the copper sealed and protected against spills and oxidation, a thin coat of clear paste wax should be applied to the copper every few weeks, or as needed (when water no longer beads upon the surface).
