My wife an I lived in the house that used to sit on this lot. After carefully assessing what would be needed to renovate the old house to make it a clean and safe "forever home," we determined that it made more sense to build a new home in its place. Renaissance stood out as our preferred builder for two primary reasons: their process and their quality. And now, having moved into the new house, we couldn't be happier about our decision to work with Renaissance Homes.

We bought a new home constructed by Renaissance, after having lived in another home, as a second owner, that they had built. Renaissance homes feature very thoughtful and beautiful designs throughout, combined with great material selection and high-level build execution. Their handover process was very good, explaining all the features of the home and providing all the brochures and materials for every item / appliance. They were responsive and quick in addressing in small issues that were noted after the move-in, ensuring our satisfaction would continue to be at the highest level. We would highly

Same same here. We lost 5 truly old growth pines on our street that will never come back for a two car garage in our King neighborhood. Just senseless and If I can say so plain cruel idiotic. Those trees had soul shade and green to them. Please become a good neighbor with some one somewhere else. Thanks for Reading.

The property my Grandma was born in in Sellwood was sold to them by my family’s estate to pay the estate taxes. It was already quite a disappointment that they had to tear down 2/3 of the 100 year old Douglas Fir trees growing on the property. On top of all that, the tree service they used decided they would cut down 2 beautiful and healthy 6 and 7 year old fruit tree’s that were growing on the public sidewalk strip. The pear tree had 40-50 pears growing on it and there was also a Paw Paw tree getting to maturity and starting to bear fruit as well. I have been watering the trees and other plants

This is a great company! Brandon Tedder is an awesome builder - always up on the latest innovations. We have built three homes here in Little Rock - all with Renaissance. 2005, 2013, and 2020. All of our builds were great experiences. They are organized and have their stuff together. They have regular subs too. The painters did all of our houses, and are amazing! I could go on... if you want a positive experience, your house done on time, on budget, and built with high quality and attention to detail, use Renaissance!! I'd recommend them to everyone.

Renaissance built my home on a lot I purchased in SE Portland from a design they had on the shelf--and it is fabulous. So many items were included such as instant hot water (tankless), timed light/fan in shower, wide driveway, crown molding in a few rooms, and energy efficient HVAC. My craftsman home design fits well in the neighborhood and we love one story living as a retired couple. Customer service is attentive and fairly quick. Very professional. My one regret is that I picked out my cabinets in their design studio with VERY BRIGHT LIGHTS. At home, it is not as bright and the cabinet color

So disappointed with this company. They built a beautiful home next door to me, and had to re pave my walkway in the process. First it took months for them to come back and pave after they tore it up. I had a gravel walkway for many months. Then, when they finally came to do the cement work, it was horribly done. The cement is dirty- more brown than grey, has permanent footprints and they didn't match it up with the part of the old walkway that we kept. There is a 2-3 inch difference which is a major trip hazard and looks bad. Additionally, my lawn was never filled back in so there is a gap

We are the second owner of a home built by Renaissance Homes in 2002 in the Forest Heights area. The first issue we had was an improperly installed main water service (wrong pipe, not buried deep enough). Cost us $5000 to replace. No exterior vapor barrier wrap installed. So far $2500 in repairs to siding and framing. Shower pan installed improperly and cracked - $1500. Nail driven in to cold water shower pipe. $3000 in subfloor and reframing. Squeaky floors everywhere. Do not buy from this builder. You will regret it. I'd have give 0 stars, but it wouldn't let me.

Update. I was contacted by Amy at Renaissance after posting my concern on Yelp. And I first contacted Renaissance directly to address my concern but was told to pound sand. Amy contacted me in September and asked some additional questions to which I immediately answered. After multiple emails and phone call back to her to follow up she has never gotten back with me with any form of yes or no answer as to what if anything they will do. The only partial correspondence I received was that their dry waller didn't understand why it would take so long for the leak to appear.

I just wanted to add another review in line with what Craig W. said. I have a Renaissance Home that was built in 1999. I am having exactly the problem that Craig W. mentioned. I am having to replace water damaged siding, and there is is no flashing around the windows and I am in the process of residing about half of my house. We are talking about a $20,000 to $30,000 repair.
My problem is almost exactly the same problem that he had, and it is clear looking around my neighborhood that other people have either had the same problem (from seeing other houses get resided) or are going to have

I bought my home in 2014. The first problem was that when I asked about the bus stop in front of my house, I was told it was temporary. Then when the construction was complete and after the contract was signed, the temporary sign came down but the bus stop was still in the same place. When I asked TriMet about it, they told me the bus stop had always been there. This is obviously my fault for not doing my due diligence, but I feel that this was really not honest on their part. It ended up being a significant barrier in selling my home a few years later.
The house was mostly great. However, there

This is the second Renaissance Home I have lived in and couldn't be happier (one brand new and one 20+ years old). Both homes have been quiet, energy efficient, beautiful, and hold up over time. Everyone I've dealt with at Renaissance has been professional and fair. I highly recommend the quality of this builder.

As a Realtor and one who specializes in home marketing, I enjoy the process of seeing our clients purchase and sell a Renaissance home. The quality of build is second to none and I never hesitate to market the quality and prestige that comes with owning a Renaissance home. Our clients really enjoy the peace of mind they get with a home by Randy. Their customer service is outstanding and they stand by their work. We give them a 10! The Gardner Team, Sherwood OR

We moved into our Renaissance home a little over a year ago. We love the house and the open living design; we love that the home is LEED certified; we love living here. However, we were not happy with the company's followup on its 1-year home warranty. We have spent the last 13 months bugging and pestering our QA person, Dan Spencer, to get anything repaired, replaced, or followed up on. What a pain in the neck! As an example, the first month we moved in, we let Dan know that our microwave door didn't work right; we had to pound on it to get it to open. Do you know that it took 9 months

You will be absolutely thrilled the day you move into your new Renaissance Home. If you stay in the home for 10+ years you'll be less thrilled. The company puts a lot of nice superficial touches into the homes that make them show really well, but the longevity is questionable.
I live in a Renaissance community that was built about 18 - 20 years ago. In the last 10 - 12 years several neighbors have had to replace water damaged siding and particleboard due to short-cuts taken during the construction. There is no waterproof barrier between the siding and the house, no flashing around the windows

We just moved into our new Renaissance home in Portland and are very happy. The quality of the home is amazing and we are absolutely thrilled to live in a LEED certified home. Moreover, the design of the home fits nicely into the neighborhood with historic craftsman and other styles. Renaissance was responsive and thoughtful throughout the building process. We hadn't planned to buy new construction, but genuinely feel that this home was built with respect for the surrounding neighborhood and with great care for the homeowner. We hope to be here for a very long time- If not the rest of our

This outfit took a perfectly good home that had served generations of families in my neighborhood and trashed it a year ago, to make way for a massive low-quality un-unique home. Now they're doing it again two blocks away. Please don't buy these homes--they destroy our neighborhood character and also drastically reduce open space, solar capabilities, trees, and more--all to fit in as much square footage as possible. It's a shame, and destroys features of the neighborhood that made it attractive in the first place. Many families are desperately looking for starter homes, but they are rapidly being

We have been in our home for almost 6 months and are just as satisfied today as we were when we signed the contracts.
We moved from a "green" community in Florida and had high expectations coming into our new home and have not been disappointed. The energy savings have been great and are even better than we experienced from our previous community.
I would highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing a home to look at Renaissance first. They were amazing to work with throughout the process and continue to be there if we need them afterwards. The community Renaissance has helped

Randy Sebastian is a terrible business man who uses LLCs to buy up properties and skirt lawsuits. He went bankrupt in 2006 but was able to stay a float by laundering money through LLCs leaving behind millions of dollars in debt and not paying hundreds of contractors. The way he treats communities in Portland is even worse and has a history of demoing perfectly good homes to plop his poorly made behemoth McMansions. You can guarantee that how he treated the community while building will leave scars in the community. Do you really want to support a business that bullies established communities to
