We love local moves. In fact, we like being there and helping you from beginning to end. South Sound Movers will show up and help with packing boxes, loading and unloading the truck, putting together furniture (even from IKEA), unpacking boxes and, helping put things away. It's a complete door to door service that keeps our customers happy.

South Sound Movers knows all about the craziness of commercial relocation and office moves. We want you to know that our part is going to go smoothly. We will work up a plan that meets your needs at both ends of your move and, we will execute that plan to the letter.
Yes, they can. Things made with heavy solid woods maybe a little too heavy to leave all the drawers full, but for the most part, you can leave drawers full. Drawers should not have anything fragile or breakable left in them though, so make sure not to have any small picture frames or china in the drawers.

We have used this company 3 times prior and loved them right up until the last time. Two boxes, both of which contained controlled substances mysteriously disappeared. I know that moving is sometimes a chaotic and unorganized mess, and that sometimes a box gets legitimately misplaced and the first people you blame are the movers, then you miraculously find the boxes later and feel stupid. This was not the case with our move, one box was all fine tequila and bourbon, and the other had prescription medication and a much needed medical device (that we are now on the hook for with our medical provider

We used them 3 times before with great results, but the 4th time we had a serious problem. Let me say that I believe the owner and most of his crew are honest hard working people. But on this day, they had a few new faces and two boxes of ours disappeared. The owner would not admit any fault and suggested we keep looking through our stuff. Well, we did and 3 months later our stuff is still gone! Interestingly enough, one box was missing from the 1st trip and the other from the 2nd trip. These guys are the real deal. We had two guys with one truck moving us out of our apartment while another two guys and a second truck moved everything from two storage units to our house. Both teams coordinated their efforts with each other. These guys are highly professional; they arrived on time, were courteous, knew what they were doing, worked really hard and did a great job. One of the guys (Mike) frequently had three boxes balanced on his back (I don't know how he did that) and everybody else could be seen walking quickly with purpose; there was no idle standing around at all. Everything was fine, the guys were quick and everything got done. HOWEVER, none of the guys wore masks or attempted to take any precautions that would indicate they knew there was a flu pandemic occurring. Look I'm not a Covid-Karen, I won't mask shame anyone PERSONALLY, but I feel like at this point in the pandemic, it's just professional to at least do it to show you are complying to health regulations AS A BUSINESS, no matter what your beliefs are on the issue. Scheduling was easy and Robert was very accommodating when I had to change dates. The two guys who did the work were great. Very personable and efficient. In fact, so efficient, that we did not come close to using the 3-hr. minimum charge. They listened to, and honored our 'plan' for temporary storage as we were having our floors refinished. Care was taken not to damage walls, doorways, or furniture. Great experience - thank you!

We have a long history with Robert and his moving Co and Highway 16 storage in Gig Harbor, Wa. In Dec 2018, we started storing items in Highway 16 storage from San Diego, planning to eventually move into a new house in Gig Harbor, Washington. That went well.
Our home in Escondido, Ca sold July 2019 and we hired Robert to move our 3 br house furnishings into Highway 16 Storage. That went well, except our new hand cart was never returned to us in the final move. This was very strange since it was clearly marked "Ferguson" and we called for it several times after our final move.

Robert, Mike and their team saved our bacon today! I found myself needing to hire professionals to load our belongings for a cross country move at the last minute and Robert made it happen! The team showed up exactly when they said they would and hustled all day, loaded like it was tetris and took better care of our furniture than we would've! We had just moved into an apartment in the third floor with an awkward entryway and our brand new couch that we moved 1200 miles wouldn't fit through! Our only option was to hoist it up and over the third floor balcony. We found Robert with south sound movers on yelp and he was very helpful. We set up a time and date and he showed up ready to go with the straps and padding. We had the couch hoisted over successfully within an hour of his arrival. Thanks Robert!

This is a top notch moving company that 1-showed up as promised, 2-on time, 3-did a fantastic job of protecting the household items, 4-delivered, 5-unloaded without breakage or damage, 6-wasted no time in doing their work or driving between the 2 locations... Their staff (which is very important when you move to a new house) were professional and likable, very corporative and were upright citizens-- which, again, is very critical to personal security when you move to a house. These guys are simply the best! Last minute request to move cross-country - no problem. Detailed care of everything and yet efficient and no-fuss. We use them for local quick moves of heavy items - full filing cabinets, piano, 4-poster beds from upstairs to downstairs.... no problem and great to work with. Can't say enough. Honest, friendly, caring. Two thumbs up!
