I originally reached out to Andre for an estimate to renovate our master bathroom in late Spring 2021. Unlike a lot of other contractors, he was responsive, professional, and punctual. He gave us a very fair estimate, I believe day of, and we decided to move forward with him shortly thereof. I am glad that we did. Almost immediately, we ran into supply issues (it now being the summer of 2021) and had to push back the start date of the project. I had a very bad experience with Andre. Andre was hired in October to replace my concrete shower base and other concrete board in my bathroom. He completed the task. A few month later, I completed the rest of the renovation/tile/fixtures/etc. When I turned the water on, the drain was completely backed up with concrete (2 inch diameter pipe, about 12 inches of concrete, through the entire p-trap). At this point Andre started ducking my calls. The issue was reported to him 12/28 and he did not come to try and fix it until mid-February. He came with a concrete dissolver solution and spilled

I don't really like to write reviews but Maco Renovation definitely deserves one for job well done. Andre(the owner) is truly the best out there. Straight shooter and to the point. I was quite overwhelmed with the thought of renovating my two- flat house, but he went over and above every step of the way. He completely renovated two kitchens, bathrooms and two large living rooms within one month!! And all completed work looks truly impeccable. Andre and his crew were great, I'd definitely recommend. I did a gut rehab of my bathroom in an aging condo building. They were able to take care of everything I needed done and it turned out perfect.
Andre was responsive throughout the process, and worked well with my building management, who can be a bit challenging at times.
I was surprised how well they protected the floors and surrounding area during the project. They also blocked off the area for dust control, and cleaned up everything after every day.

Andre and his team did a full bathroom renovation for me, and also took out part of a supporting wall between my kitchen and dining room to open up the space. I was completely happy with the results of both. I had reached out to one other contractor prior to choosing Mako, but they were very slow to reply and came back with a quote that was a little higher. Mako quickly gave me a quote and I was happy to choose them, both because of the pricing and because I just liked interacting with Andre better as well. I would highly recommend Andre and his team to anyone. Andre is very professional and it's a pleasure to work with him throughout the whole process. I had a kitchen backsplash project. I got a list of tile contractors from the TileShop and I contacted many of them. I have to say that Andre stands out among them from the get go. He responded to my initial request and questions quickly. He is punctual and patient. Most importantly, the end result of his work was FANTASTIC. He also kept the surrounding area very clean and well protected. Absolutely a 5-star experience!

Andre and his team were outstanding. They started my renovation on time as scheduled and finished on time as scheduled. They kept my condo clean and were easy to work with. I hired him to do a complete bathroom renovation and it was a success! Additionally, his price was fair without sacrificing quality. Andre is exceedingly knowledgable and provided terrific ideas and pointers. I strongly recommend! They will come back to tweak a minor faucet issue - but all in all, it was an A+ experience.

My husband and I were supposed to have our kitchen installed in August and had to fire a contractor for badly damaging our cabinets and home (not to mention installing cabinets upside down and crooked). It was a total nightmare. Feeling hopeless (and not trusting any contractors after having 3 more see the botched nightmare and walk off the job...) I did some research and found Mako Renovations. I spent a LOT of time reading the reviews and decided to cross my fingers and reach out. Not only was Andrzej out the next day but once we decided to move forward

Andre's employee, Javier, built the bathroom and I can't say enough great things about his work. I hired Mako Renovation to build a wall in our basement to create a walk in closet. Andre reached out to me in a matter of hours and came to do an estimate that night. It wasn't a giant project so a lot of other contractors had blown me off or tried to schedule my project months out. We were able to see Mako Renovations same day for an estimate, a second floor bathroom of ours had a leak dripping into the commercial space below that needed to be fixed ASAP. We had two other companies in here before we hired Andre- we were very happy with his thoroughness also the way he treated us as clients. Our original contractor had to back out of our project last minute because he didn't have the workmans comp that was necessary to work in our mid rise West Loop building. We phoned around and found Andre/Mako Renovation. Along with five other contractors we had interviewed, we went with Andre because of his enthusiasm for our project and price point. So after looking for multiple contractors to completely tile my hallway, kitchen and living room, I sent Andre a message on yelp to see if he wanted to provide a quote. We're blown away at how fantastic our new subway tile backsplash looks. Andre was great to work with, he and the other installer wasted no time and were in and out in a few hours. We had a really great experience working with Andre. He came out several times to help figure out the best timeline and layout for our living room and kitchen space. He ended up being down a crew member when the job started due to an illness, and there was never a delay or a hiccup. The final result was beautiful and I highly recommend.
