Bob Cermignano started working in the HVAC industry at 16 years old. It was his first summer job while he was in high school. When Bob first started the company, he had one truck and $750 in his pocket. The first shop that Bob rented for his company was in Ardmore, PA. The owner of the shop, a plumbing contractor, only charged Bob $1 a day for rent.

After working in the HVAC business for several years, Bob Cermignano decided to go into business for himself and thus founded Bob Cermignano Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc in 1980. Over 40 years later, the company has grown from having one employee and one truck on the road to having 14 Installation & Service Technicians, 6 Office Managers, 1 Sheet Metal Technician and 16 trucks on the road.

These guys are the best there is. Nobody can fit a system into a tight space like Cermignano and keep it running in tip-top shape. Our high efficiency system is now 6 years old and runs beautifully!

After a bad experience with two companies (Henderson and Gans) it was a pleasure to do business with Bob Cermignano. When I asked for an estimate the owner, Bob Cermignano, arrived at the exact time he said he would. It took him about 10 minutes to trace the pipes (my large house is a century old and most of the plumbing is that vintage) to find the ones that were cold and he recommended a plan to diagnose the problem and the logical steps they would follow. I just read the company's reply to my review on another platform and while I stand by my assertion that we emailed numerous times and didn't get a reply, I have to admit that I did forget all the other good things Bob's did for us last year (it's been a helluva year and we've had massive problems with an ongoing remodel). So I'm updating my review to 4 stars, which honestly would probably have been 5 if we could have gotten them to plumb our gas pool heater (which is why I repeatedly reference plumbing below). Bob and his employees were thoroughly knowledgeable about our old oil burner. The job of installing an indirect water heater was done beautifully and at a far more reasonable price than three other local companies. Highly recommend this company. These guys are a rip-off. They run this racket where you pay them twice at year in"maintenance" fees for your AC and Heating and they will agree to come service your house if there is a problem. But no other plumbers operate this way and the truth is they don't put you at the "top of their list" when you call.
We naively paid them for several years but when our AC broke down during a heat wave they were nowhere to be found. They claimed it was Memorial Day weekend but it was over 97 degrees in our house. When they finally came they recommended a whole new system
